Remarks :

The admission process was through a cap round from DTE Maharashtra. I wanted to pursue engineering without going through the trouble of doing JEE, so I chose to do a diploma. The admission was based on my 10 standard marks. The good thing about the college was that it had many good and new streams, the campus is very beautiful and it made me want to go there. As such no preparation is required for the cap round, you only need to fill out the form online, verify your documents, and put the college name and selected branch in the form after verification. The cut-off for my branch was 85 percent. The bad aspect would probably be that since it's an old government college, the property is also old, some classrooms don't have ventilation at all, other than that everything is ok.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course as it was an integration of mechanical and electronics, which makes it very interesting. The faculty wasn't very good until my last year, because it was a new branch, and not many students had enrolled in it, so the faculty wasn't appointed for a very long time. A single professor used to teach 2-3 subjects. we had the semester pattern, so it was not that hectic. Special scholarships for people who come under categories other than general.

Internships Opportunities :

yes, I did an internship for 6 months at SIEMENS CENTER OF EXCELLENCE, in VNIT Nagpur. I wasn't provided with a stipend, but I had a good experience. My subject was 'INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION 4.0'. I had a project on Grafana, and data transfer on it.

Placement Experience :

Not much campus placement are offered, since it is only a diploma we're getting, the average stipend per month is usually between 10,000 - 20,000. Some of the companies were Mahindra and Mahindra Co, TATA, etc.

Campus Life :

There's only one major fest which is known as 'Avishkar'. It usually takes place in February. Other than that sports week is conducted, and inter-college sports also take place then. The library is big and consists of all the books any student would require for studies. There any many clubs for students to join, like ISTE, GYMKHANA, SRUJAN, and many more. The hostel is average per se, and the food is good but oily.

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
