So, first of all, the college has good connectivity which reduces the travelling time. It is a very renowned college for engineering in the city. I had a lot of alumni from this college as my friends and family who then received good opportunities in the tech field. The admission process is similar to any other engg college, through CAP rounds. CET and JEE scores are taken into consideration for the admission procedure. I cleared the cut-off for BE in computer engineering for 2022 which was 87.5
I wanted to Pursue computer science so I opted for Be in computer engineering. The faculty here is well experienced and all the professors are very helpful. The exams are followed concerning the Mumbai University calendar on time and the difficulty level is moderate. The tuition fee is similar to any other government college roughly 1.4 lakhs per year. If you fall under any reservation category it may vary. Students can also apply for scholarships that are applicable in Mumbai university.
No, I haven't availed myself of any internship yet as I am in TE now. But we have done certain unpaid internships wherein we got experience on how to develop our skills. They also gave us training regarding various topics in tech fields.
Many companies like TCS, reliance, Accenture and many more come here with eligibility criteria of 8 or above CGPA, no backlogs and an impressive Profile of an engineering student including all the projects we have worked on. There are major 3 college fests: 1) Reflexionz(cultural) held in March 2)Detroix(technical) held in September 3)Xavions(sports) held in January. The campus life is pretty good. Apart from academics, there are various community and institutional-based clubs for the overall character development of students. There are clubs like NSS, Rotaract, ECO-club, E-cell, DLLE etc wherein students can be a part and contribute to their personal as well as societal growth. The college classrooms are well equipped with Smart Boards/projectors and well-ventilated. The Labs are also well-equipped. The college has a library that has ventilated and lighted reading rooms, a research reference section, a periodical section, processing sections and other reference books and a PYQs section. The college also has a canteen where students can have their meals.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
