All about GMCH Chandigarh you should know before you come here

- We have our own supermarket in the campus from where we can get food, stationary, etc.
- We have faculties who have experience of more than the age of their students in almost all the departments.
Dislikes
- I personally think that campus is not that big as it should have been, all other things are almost perfect.
Remarks :
So my college is just 3 kms away from my home that was the most important reason for me choosing to do my MBBS from here. To enter into GMCH Chandigarh you need to clear NEET UG just as for any other medical College. After the result, counselling for the college starts, you can enter via State pool or all India pool. Cut off for General usually goes around 570/720 and for SC it's around 406. I prepared for NEET through Physics Wallah. Currently I am in 2nd year. Although the campus is not that big. It's still sufficient for most of the things. My experience of 1st Prof has been great. I loved learning anatomy especially. You get to perform practicals multiple times which helps in reducing errors and sharpening the skills. Faculties are very cooperative if you remain in good light.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is now based on the latest guidelines of National Medical Commission of India i.e. CBME which produces Indian Medical Graduates. The main aim of this new curriculum is to produce skillful clinicians. Fees is very affordable, and faculties are well versed in their subjects with experience upto 30+ years.
Campus Life :
Life has never been so good for me. We have 3 events every year, firstly fresher's party, then Euphoria which is an intercollege event, it's the biggest intercollege event of northern India. And lastly Plexus - it consists of: 1. Pre-plexus party followed by main Plexus event of 3 days and after that Post Plexus Party, It's our intracollege event. Apart from these we have lohri party and Holi party every year. So in case of parties, our college is very active. Even though I haven't opted for college, what I have heard from my batchmates is that our hostel has a mess better than most of the other messes. Our college has a separate building called Sarai Building for Hostels. Also, Interns have their own building.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

Placement and job opportunity is good because in civil engineering placement are good this college is better than many government college if no campus placement is offered than I prep for government exam connected to engineering like ies and many other best engineering government job

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
