The Admission Process is Pretty much Lengthy in this college. We can get admission in KIT after clearing CET or JEE entrance examination. For Joining Cse/DS/AIML branches You'll 90 plus percentile where as to join ENTC Or Electrical Branch you need more than 80 percentile in CET exam. There are 3 cap rounds for admission where the Cutoff chances with each round.
The reason I choose this College because it offers better campus placements than other colleges in Kolhapur. The Faculty here is Overall good, They have good qualifications although in my opinion they fail to actually explain the Subjects to the Students. The course curriculum has both Theory and Lab practicals but the faculty mainly focuses on theory subjects more than Lab practicals. There are mid sem and end sem examinations, the overall semester is around 4 to 5 months. Apart for theory and labs there is also projects and mini projects every semesters. The level of difficulty of exams differs branch wise although all examinations here are pretty much Tough.
College offers the intership for 4th year students although for 2nd and 3rd year students there are not many internships offered, Although there are PBL (project based learning) every semester which helps students to gain Practical knowledge. If a student want to do internship than he can find and can do personally without the help of college.
On campus placements here in KIT are much often here. Many IT and corporate Companies visit KIT for recruiting students. The Average salary here offered is 3 to 4 lakhs and the Highest Salary offered here was 41 lakhs
The infrastructure of the college is Average. There are many clubs and fests here in KIT. E There is a big fest called Miraki which is held every year. There are many Department clubs here like Elsa, etc but there are not many Sports related club. I myself was the part of Basketball club. Also there is Department sports competitions held every year. The library here is pretty huge, also books of every departments are available here although sometimes the specific editions of a subject may not be available.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
