- I am very glad about our sports infrastructure we have plenty of sports to play and also our college organises tournaments for many sports every year and we have other curricular activities like music dance drama as well.
- Other than that we have a very good canteen very cheap and tasty food not too healthy and the canteen environment is worth enjoying 3 years of college life.
Dislikes
- The thing i dislike the most is the college crowd, it is very very average if i talk about my colleagues. Students around me aren’t even talking about doing something different or big in their lives half of them wants to be college president and half of them are pursuing CA side by side or taking coaching for MBA nothing except this. But my juniors are quite decent and impressive they do think out of the box.
- Other than this the placements are not very good average package for bcom/bcom H goes around 4-6 LPA and only 10-20% of the students get on campus placements.
Remarks :
It comes under the University of Delhi which has a great reputation and also it is on the main south campus, so the campus life is quite good and the bare minimum fee made me choose this college. I had to CUET the exam with a score of 697/800 to get admitted into this college other than this there was no group discussion or interview round. I prepared for my CUET exam from a crash course provided by Pratham institute.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course because I have an interest in the accounting field and it is quite a good course and renowned in the commerce field as well. The faculty is highly qualified most of the professors are PhD graduates and other than that they are not very punctual with timings and classes also they don’t put any extra effort into improving their teaching techniques. The fee hiked from 9100-11000 but it’s much less if compared to semi-government or private colleges. There is financial assistance available but I haven’t chosen that.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven’t opted for any internship provided by the placement cell of our college but here are a few details of companies, roles, and stipend. Coding ninjas, Admission counselor trainee, Inr 25,000 p/m, Intellipaat Business development trainee Performance-based stipend.
Placement Experience :
The placement opportunities are not very good in our college the average package goes up to 3-4LPA and the Big 4 doesn’t recruit from our college. Other companies like De Shaw and Swiggy do come but they only hire 2-3 students. The highest package for last year was 7LPA and only 1 offer was made. I will start my own business after getting my undergraduate degree.
Campus Life :
Campus life is quite good events are going on every month, but the only thing you have to suffer is finding good and like-minded friends. Our annual fest is Phoenix which comes in April or May and an average Punjabi singer comes to perform. Sports and extracurricular activities are very good on campus. We do have a cricket pitch, football court, basketball court, skating court, volleyball court, and several indoor games and extracurricular activities including dance, music, drama, etc. Our library is very good with air conditioners installed and a variety of books available for every interest. Most classrooms are also fully air-conditioned. We do have several societies for each interest comprising music, dance, drama, finance, marketing, and social work societies. We have 3 more colleges within 1km and also 30-40 cafes and several gaming zones at a distance of 1.2km and also metro connectivity at 1km.
Hostel Facilities :
We don’t have a hostel but there are many paying guests available near the college as our college lies on the main south campus. PG ranges from 10,000-18,000 INR depending upon the locality and food included. The best area to rent a PG is Satya Niketan per me, bit expensive but mostly all the south campus students live there and it has almost 50 cafés and outlets like Pizza Hut, La Pinoz, burger Singh, etc., and street food as well, within 10-50m of distance.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
