- The infrastructure of the college is really top notch with state of the art classrooms, labs and social spaces
- The social life here at the MIT is hands down the best and worth the struggle to get into this institution
Dislikes
- The adminstration here at the campus can be confusing at times and unapproachable at first.
- The timings of classes and setting of the academic calendar itself is a bit crammed with a lot of things going on at the same time which can be overwhelming at times
Remarks :
So the only way to get into MIT is through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). A rank is awarded based on the marks scored and there are multiple rounds of counselling in which you are offered a seat in a course based on the rank scored in MET. Preparation is rather easy as you just need to be clear with your basics and +1 and +2 years concepts.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Academics at MIT is a bit on the tougher side as the curriculum is a bit on the hard side but the faculty here is well versed and the college is well equipped to support experience-based learning. The examination system is a constant and continuous evaluation where internal assessments happen around the clock throughout a semester.
Internships Opportunities :
As of now, I have not opted for an internship but I have taken up research/real-time projects under various faculty from my department as well as other departments too. The projects under the faculty are a great way to learn and apply the knowledge picked up in class.
Placement Experience :
The placement is good at MIT considering that the average no of companies visiting the campus is over 200 and the average CTC offered stands around 7-8 lakhs considering all branches. The placement office does a great job of ensuring students are helped throughout the process of scoring internships and placements. The highest package ever offered was 54 LPA to a student in CSE. Around 70 per cent get placed from the overall batch strength where the remaining 30 per cent of students are either going into the business field or are pursuing higher education.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
So the initial deposit is 15000 with 5000 being the registration fees and 10000 being the deposit. The tuition fees are to be paid in full at the start of the academic year and it varies depending on the course pursued.
Campus Life :
The social life at MIT Manipal is one of the best that any college in India can offer to a student. The number of cultural and technical clubs along with a ton of student projects offer a wide variety of activities for students to engage themselves in post-college. Apart from all of this, the annual cultural fest, Revels is usually held in March where a footfall of around 10000 students is seen across the 4-day festival bringing a vibrant life to campus. The technical fest, Techtatava is held in September where geekheads compete in various innovative challenges designed to ignite critical thinking. Overall the social life at MIT is something to look forward to.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels at MIT are one of the best I can say across Indian colleges as you have a wide variety of accommodations to choose from. Ranging from single rooms to common dorms, you can be sure to find living accommodations to suit your needs. As far as the affordability is concerned, it is quite affordable based on the mess and utility charges being a per-month deduction basis. So basically you pay a hostel fee at the start which includes a mess and utility advance and every month, the used amount is deducted from the advance and leftover funds are rolled over to the next academic year. The mess is decent and serves fresh food which is focused on being healthy. the only downside of the mess is you have a fixed weekly menu so it gets a bit boring sometimes. But there are special dinners every once in a while.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement

Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
