It’s difficult to choose a film school in India because there are only 2 government colleges in India for film making which only have 10 seats for every specialization. So I googled some colleges for film making then they suggested MIT ADT University. Yes, the university took some written tests and interviews while admission but it was just a formality not so serious test.
Faculty are not permanent there so we face lots of problems. No good faculty stays for more than 1 year and the university doesn’t even conduct many more classes and they even don’t invite external faculties as they commit.
The college hadn’t offered any internships to film-making students. They have arranged their internships on their own they don’t even give placement to any companies we have to search for our own. Hope they offer internships to future students.
For our course, there is no placement. They hadn’t offered a single package to any film-making students. But for other departments, they offer a package. Even they don’t offer internships to any company or production house.
4.5 lac average fees. In total, it cost 12.5 lac for 3 years. But now our fees increased by 20 lac for 3 years for some departments like direction, and cinematography has a fee structure of 20 lac 3 years and the sound and editing department has 12 for 3 years As per my knowledge.
Persona Fest is conducted every year Feb. campus infrastructure is good but not maintained. The clubs and ground are good. But the college mess was not good they cooked very spicy food and the taste was also very poor.
I have opted college hostel. Room were good but they don’t provide A/C or a cooler in summer. The food of the hostel was very bad and the taste and raw materials were not good quality. They cook too much spicy food and oily food.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
