The college is affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University and is the pioneer of the course PharmD with great alumni and amazing faculty it was the right choice. Intake criteria are through only NEET and CET scores and interaction with the principal.
I choose this course because of the abundant scopes in both the clinical and industrial fields of pharmaceutical sciences. All the faculty members are knowledgeable and well-established educators from India. Specifically for PharmD, there is only 1 term exam and 3 Unit tests out of which the best of 2 is considered along with the term exam. Difficulty is moderate for a regular student.
The college provides internships in the affiliated hospital, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital. We perform daily clinical pharmacy activities there under several clinicians and surgeons. Prescription auditing, and bedside tracking authorisation are some of the work we do here.
Campus placements are decent, ranging from 3-7 lakhs per annum. Companies like Kotak Health Insurance and Aditya Birla are some of the recurring companies. But off-campus placements will surely land students better packages
Year-wise fees that I pay are 1.6 Lakhs per annum which is a cumulative of 9.6 lakhs per annum for 6 years of course. There are privileges for reservation students of up to 50-70 percent concession on fees. With government-approved scholarships students just have to pay a flat fee of just 320/- per annum
We have Gusto which is our annual fest in our college! Where there are more than 15 events for students to participate in and win prizes and awards. The pharmacy has a recently renovated library with amazing books from around the world. Football and cricket team trials are also hosted for students to participate in, the college focuses on both academic and extracurricular activities and promotes many seminars and group activities on campus.
Hostel facilities are only for 1st year students and don't have much information regarding it, but the college canteen and hostel mess are handled but the same management so good food is expected and the hostels are clean with all the minimum facilities required.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
