Placements are not a hassle if you have good rank in the batch. Anyone from the batch can opt for placements. There is no special criteria. Law firms such as Khaitan, SAM, AZB visit regularly to recruit students. Highest package goes upto 20 lakhs and lowest can be as low as 12 lakhs. Sooner or later, most students who sit for placements get placed. My plans are for writing upsc so I am not worried about placements.
I got an AIR of 891 in CLAT 2021. I got GNLU through OBC quota as my first preference. I learnt about GNLU from seniors and friends to be a college of very good repute. To get into GNLU, only CLAT is required which is a written test and no other interviews of GDs are conducted.
Read Full ReviewSo there is a placement cell which is known as CRA which helps the students get internship in the law firms. We had last year 37 PPO's and totally 136 students got recruited in law firms and PSU's. All the top law firms come to our college for recruitment like Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas, AZB, Trilegal etc. The PPO's generally range from 18lakh to 22 lakh per year. The students who are placed on the Day zero there package range in between 14 lakhs to 18 lakhs. So, 70% of every batch gets placed and the other 30% are those who want to practice litigation or prepare for government exams. I also want to prepare for UPSC.
So, we can get admission in GNLU through an all India exam which is know as CLAT which is conducted every year in the month of December . The factors that made me choose this college was the NIRF ranking of the college which is 8th rank, the modern infrastructure of the libraries and the alumni base. We just need to clear CLAT with a decent rank like for General Category your rank should be between 1 -500, for OBC category your rank should range between 1200 - 1850 for SC category it should range between 2700 to 5600 and for the ST category it should be between 7500 to 10800. The bad thing about our college is the hostel infrastructure which is very old and there is no AC's in the hostel.

The factors which made me choose the college were mainly the ranking of the college, the infrastructure and the placement opportunities given by the college. The university is easily one of the five top most universities for pursuing law and it also offers multiple courses other than BA LLB such as BBA, BCOM and BSC along with the LLB degree. The admission process was rather simple as the Clat UG rank is the sole criteria for admission.
