PDEU offers B.Tech admission to 1,440 seats in 11 branches through the School of Technology and the School of Energy Technology. Computer Engineering has the highest intake with 300 seats, while ICT has 180 seats. The other branches have either 60 or 120 seats.

For All India seats, PDEU prepares merit only from the JEE Main 2026 All India Rank, also called the CRL Rank. Class 12 board marks do not get any weightage. ACPC Gujarat seats are filled as per ACPC rules using GUJCET scores. For NRI seats, merit is based on JEE Main rank or UK A-level performance along with Class 12 marks.

During online counselling, students choose from Accept and Freeze, Accept with Upgrade, Reject with Upgrade, and Reject. A student who chooses an upgrade can be considered for a higher preferred branch in later rounds if seats remain.

Note: Students cannot change branch preferences after the online application deadline. Branch-wise seats are Computer Engineering 300, ICT 180, Biotechnology, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, ECE, Mechanical, and Petroleum Engineering 120 each, and CSBS and Climate Science 60 each.

PDEU Law Admission 2026

PDEU School of Law offers the 5-year BA LLB and the 3-year LLB. Both courses are approved by the Bar Council of India. CLAT 2026 scores are used for 75% of the seats, and the remaining 25% are filled through a direct interview by PDEU School of Law.

The MBA 2026-28 admission process has ended. For the next cycle, students need CAT 2026 or XAT 2027 scores. Out of the total 215 seats, 25% are filled through ACPC Gujarat, and ACPC-route applicants must meet the same entrance test and minimum percentile rules.

PDEU M.Tech Admission 2026

PDEU M.Tech admission covers 234 seats in 12 specialisations. The process has two phases. Phase I is an early round for GATE-qualified students, while Phase II is open to both GATE and non-GATE students. The semester commencement date is to be declared.

Applicants must have a B.E./B.Tech degree, or M.Sc/MCA where the programme allows it, with at least 50% marks or 5.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale. The degree must be from a UGC/AICTE-recognised institution. Final-year students in the 8th semester may also apply and must complete the degree by 31 August 2026.

In every M.Tech programme, 50% of seats are kept for GATE-qualified students. Phase I shortlisting for GATE students is based on GATE merit. Non-GATE students are called for an interview and may be admitted to the remaining seats in Phase I and Phase II.
