IIM Rohtak Admission Dates 2027

IIM Rohtak PGPM admission for the 2027-29 batch depends on CAT 2026. Registration for CAT 2026 is open till September 15, 2026, and the exam is scheduled for November 29, 2026. The institute will run its own shortlist and PI rounds after the CAT result.

For IPM, IIM Rohtak conducts its own aptitude test. Registration for the 2027-32 batch is expected in February 2027, and the test is tentatively expected in May 2027.

IIM Rohtak Courses and Fees

IIM Rohtak offers management education through integrated UG programmes, postgraduate courses, executive courses and short certificate programmes. PGPM is the main MBA-equivalent course and uses CAT for admission. Hostel and mess charges are included in the all-inclusive fee for residential programmes.

The PGPM fee of INR 37,92,500 covers tuition, hostel and mess for both years. For IPM, the 5-year total fee of INR 79,93,800 works out to INR 15.99 Lakhs per year. PGPM costs INR 18.96 Lakhs per year over 2 years. The highest fee among the listed courses is for BBA LLB at INR 99,73,350.

IIM Rohtak Admission Process

IIM Rohtak manages admission on its own and does not join the IIM Common Admission Process. It has no management quota. Seats are filled through merit and central government reservation rules: EWS 10%, NC-OBC 27%, SC 15%, ST 7.5% and DAP 5%.

PGPM Admission

For PGPM, students need a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks. SC, ST and DAP candidates need 45%. Work experience is not compulsory, but it is considered while preparing the composite score.

• Stage 1: IIM Rohtak shortlists students through CAT scores. For the 2026-28 batch, the minimum CAT cutoff was 97 percentile for General, 93 percentile for EWS, 83 percentile for NC-OBC, 60 percentile for SC and 50 percentile for ST candidates.
• Stage 2: Shortlisted students appear for the Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI), both conducted independently by IIM Rohtak.
• Stage 3: The final composite score gives 60% weightage to CAT percentile, 30% to WAT-PI, and 10% to academic diversity and work experience.

The PGP intake at IIM Rohtak for the 2026-28 batch was 264 seats. Seats are not cross-offered through IIM CAP.

IPM and Other Programmes

IPM is a 5-year Integrated Programme in Management, and admission is based on IIM Rohtak’s own aptitude test. Students must have Class 12 marks of at least 60%, while SC, ST and DAP candidates need 55%. BBA LLB admission is through CLAT scores or the institute’s own process. Executive PGPM is designed for working professionals with relevant work experience and GMAT or CAT scores.

IIM Rohtak CAT Cutoff

IIM Rohtak uses CAT percentiles to shortlist students for PGPM admission. The cutoffs below were used for the 2026-28 batch and are shortlisting cutoffs, not final admission scores.

IIM Rohtak Placements

IIM Rohtak completed the 2024 to 2025 placement season with 100% placement. The highest offer was INR 36 LPA. The average package was INR 18.73 LPA, and the median package was INR 17 LPA. The drive saw 237 recruiters, including more than 70 first-time recruiters, and students received more than 30 pre-placement offers.

Sales and marketing made up the largest placement share at 30%. IT and analytics contributed 18%, operations contributed 16%, and finance and BFSI roles formed 13%. Recruiters came from consulting, FMCG, manufacturing, fintech and e-commerce.

IIM Rohtak Rankings

IIM Rohtak is ranked in NIRF Management and holds a place among the top 20 management institutions in the 2025 list.

IIM Rohtak is an Institute of National Importance, which places it in the same legal category as the older IIMs. It appears in the NIRF Management rankings and has stayed within the top 20 in recent ranking cycles.

IIM Rohtak Scholarships

IIM Rohtak supports eligible students through need-based aid, government category scholarships and merit-based scholarships given by term performance.

Government scholarship applications are submitted through scholarships.gov.in. Need-based aid requests go to the financial aid committee at IIM Rohtak during admission onboarding. Merit scholarships are given after each trimester according to academic standing.

IIM Rohtak Campus and Infrastructure

IIM Rohtak is located in Rohtak, Haryana, 70 km from Delhi NCR. The campus has road and rail connectivity. It is fully residential, and hostel plus mess charges are included in the programme fee for full-time programmes.

The campus has academic blocks, a central library with management and business databases, case study classrooms, an incubation centre and sports facilities. Its location near Delhi NCR helps students with recruiter access and alumni connections in the national capital region.

IIM Rohtak vs IIM Trichy vs IIM Udaipur

Students preparing for CAT often compare IIM Rohtak with IIM Trichy, also called Indian Institute of Management Tiruchirappalli, and IIM Udaipur. These three IIMs were founded in the 2009 to 2011 period and are Institutes of National Importance under the IIM Act 2017.

IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur have slightly higher NIRF Management 2025 ranks at #13 and #14. IIM Rohtak is ranked #19. All three institutes have reported 100% placements in recent cycles. IIM Rohtak differs from the other two because it does not take part in IIM CAP and follows its own admission schedule.
