NUSRL review

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure, greenery inside the campus.
The faculties are really supportive and they guide you well.

What I didn’t like

The area outside the campus is not safe.
1st year course curriculum needs to be improved.

Placement Experience:

We become eligible for placements in 10th semester. Packages range from 10 lakh to 18 lakhs. The percentage is not high. The placement is actually less. It needs to be improved as most of the students do not get it.

Internships Opportunities:

I am in 2nd year, so I have not got any internship from college side. But, I have seen y college seniors doing internship at good law firms such as DSK legal, Khaitan, etc. They also go for internships in Mumbai

Short review on NUSRL, Ranchi

What I Liked

Campus Life is really good. We have a great senior junior bonding. The seniors are always up for help. And they help you with everything, from your maggi cravings to your internships and research papers.
It is also pretty lively. At times it feels dead and very monotonous but out cultural club ensures that some or the other activity keeps happening in the college, whether fests or simply a dj night is something that depends on the budget. But it's fun.

What I didn’t like

The infrastructure can heavily be looked upon again. The one that we have right now is decent, honestly. But we have a lot of free space and we can definitely use it for bigger libraries, more buildings. The college is planning to introduce new course so definitely a new hostel is a must. Similarly the kitchen needs to be worked upon.
The library. A law college needs to have a gigantic library however ours is not that great, the administration has definitely increased the size recently and are planning to further make a new library all together but we never know how long that is going to take.

Placement Experience:

Placement needs to be highly worked upon. People do get placed but on their own not through the cell. However, it has started being more active now and they have held a few placement drives. We are only hoping for it to get even better with time and believe that it will.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are something that one can do from law chambers, to small firms to tier one firms like Khaitan, trilegal, azb legal etc. usually people land on internships on their own but the placement cell also helps. The help is provided on the basis of how good your CV is and your course year. The cell helps students from their 3rd year but not before that. Before that they do provide letter of recommendation though.

Decent review to know NLU Ranchi

What I Liked

Campus life here is pretty good and student friendly

What I didn’t like

Like the collage could also focus on sports part make more sports events on a good level calling other nlus.
Also collage also needs to make a student body.

Placement Experience:

Mainly I don't have any plans till of now because I am confused whether to choose litigation or corporate side so there isn't. A plan write now but I do have a intrest in litigation side so I would try to go for litigation.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes in my starting year I want to district court to enhance my basics later I went to high courts to understand the cases why and how the go to high court and how or why high court refer matters to supreme court.

College review of NUSRL

What I Liked

Classroom are equipped with some good gadgets and infrastructure. There are smart boards and mic system in every classroom.
The campus offers lush green space which is free from noise and crowd. The campus offers beutiful scenic views.

What I didn’t like

The sports infrastructure is not developed upto the mark. Students here struggle if they want to engage in sports.
The campus is situated a bit far from the city so the nearest mall is around 12 km away. The railway station is 18 km away and airport is 16 km away.

Placement Experience:

There are some teir 2 and teir 3 law firms visiting for campus placements. The university is progressing so teie 1 law firms can be seen in coming years for the campus placements. There are Many students who are getting placed with the campus placements in teir 1 and 2 law firms. So if one does not get placed from the college he/she still can get placed at nice place.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes I have done internships. Some of the places are mentioned below Luthra and luthra Khurana and khurana Sim and San attorneys I had intern in these firms for 1 month. Stipan are generally not provided but depends if you have done great job. The internship committee is running but not able to provide internship in large numbers. One can avail internship from internship committee based on his/her credentials.

Reality of a Tier 2 NLU

What I Liked

Geographical location of my college, loving and helpful seniors
Campus and social life of my college along with the wheather.

What I didn’t like

Marking scheme of faculties, which make the Marksheet really poor.
I'll mentality of faculties to involve students in their politics and then be biased towards them with respect to other students.

Placement Experience:

Campus recruitment in my college is average based on the standards of a Tier 2 NLU. Though, students are also able to secure PPOs. Firms like NDA have offered assessment internship to students of our college.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, recently I was given the opportunity to intern with JURIS CORP in the month of August. Then, I was selected to international at the office of HSA for the month of October. My batchmates have been able to secure internships at really big firms like CAM with the help of internship committee of my college.

NUSRL: the green campus

What I Liked

Hostel is very hygienic Sports culture is very prevalent
The campus has been awarded green campus award and has a large 63 acres campus full of trees and greenery

What I didn’t like

The marking structure of faculties could be a bit better
Class schedules are a bit hectic and require utmost diligence

Placement Experience:

There is a separate internship and placement committee within the college. Regular applications are sent out by the college for internship opportunities. Students also get international internship opportunities from college. Placement is also very good. People have been placed at tier 1 law firms and gotten PPO in their fifth and fourth year

Internships Opportunities:

I have done several internships with law firms and law chambers in Delhi. The committee for the same is very active and resource-full. RBI advisory recently visited and sent application vacancies for the college.

Experience at NUSRL, Ranchi

What I Liked

Environment as it is at the outskirts of ranchi so it's filled with greenery and free from the city buzz
Weather is another good thing . The weather mostly remains moderate with no extremities

What I didn’t like

Campus is large but not maintained properly which is a thing they should look upon .due to this there is problem of snakes and other insects
Another problem is lack of infrastructure. Infrastructure needs to be developed more . It's very minimal presently . And mess food is also not good so that also needs to be developed . One more bad thing is the compulsory hostel and mess fee

Placement Experience:

The placement cell is there. Placements are moderate. You can't expect tier 1 firm placement as of now but many manage to get PPO from tier 1 firms. The cell is developing and will get better in a few years. The average package is around 6 lacs. Through PPOs, people secure packages of around 15 to 16 lacs.

Internships Opportunities:

I have done internships through my connections as of now. But one can also get one through the internship cell. Most internships are unpaid until you reach 4th year. You can get internships in decent firms and maybe tier one also if you have a good batch rank and CV.

What I Liked

Campus life and infrastructure of the university is world class.

What I didn’t like

Few faculties are not enough trained to teach in a NLU.

Placement Experience:

The percentage of placement revolves around 50-60% everywhere. The majority of the students go for higher studies and judiciary preparation. Many firms like AZB, CAM, SAM, and Spice route legal come for placement and internships.

Internships Opportunities:

Till now I have done 8 internships. The internship and placement committee helps students to get an internship. Also, seniors help students to secure internships through their connections. Many firms provide stipends to 4th and 5th-year students except a few.

NUSRL, the real picture.

What I Liked

Hostel rooms are great and spacious, sports infrastructure is incredible facilities for all the sports available
Faculties are well qualified and are great scholars

What I didn’t like

Mess food needs improvement and there is a need to allow vehicles inside the campus as it is a 65 acre campus it is not easy yo move here and there
There is a need for a new library inside the campus with more space

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that great due to the geographical location of the University but still, it is quite easy to land off-campus placement and also many students grab campus placement as well from glorified recruiters such as S&A Law chambers, Khaitan, CAM, SAM, PSUs such as IOCL, Punjab National Bank. The average package on campus is 10,00,000. I plan to practice independently after completion of my course so placements are not a necessity in this profession

Internships Opportunities:

The college provides innumerable internship opportunities for students each semester, many students go to different cities such as Delhi, Kolkata, Bangalore, and Mumbai to pursue internships in various legal firms as well as corporations
