  • For Mtech admission, A valid GATE score is eligible for admission, whereas, in the absence of sufficient applicants with a GATE score, others will be considered through a Department Admission Test (DAT).

CUSAT B.Tech Admission 2024

CUSAT offers admission to B. Tech programs in 16 specializations across two campuses. A different campus offers marine engineering. The university has approximately 130 seats available, with the remainder reserved for special-category students. The application must be submitted through the CUSAT's official website.

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant of M. Tech:

  • The Pass in Plus Obtain a minimum of 50% in Mathematics and a minimum of 50% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry taken together on two exams, or any other exam recognized as equivalent, with those subjects listed as optional.
  • Candidates belonging to Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) and Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) communities are eligible for applying if they have minimum pass marks in the qualifying examination.
  • Candidates for the SEBC in Kerala State who do not fall under the creamier layer category are eligible for a 5% reduction in the minimum passing score.

Selection Criteria

The B. Tech selection criteria at the CUSAT include the following:

  • Applicants for the course will be shortlisted based on their marks in plus two.
  • The shortlisted candidates have to attend the written examination (CUSAT CAT) by the university.
  • After passing the written exam, candidates are invited to an interview as the final stage of selection.
  • A final merit list is then prepared based on written test marks, and performance in the previous exam.
  • The candidates opting for marine engineering and Lateral entry and students from the international university are exempted from writing CUSAT CAT.

CUSAT M.Tech Admission 2024

Admission to the M. Tech program at the CUSAT began. Each university branch has 15 -18 seats, with additional seats for the reserved category. For the M. Tech course, CUSAT offers 16 specializations. The application must be submitted through the CUSAT's official website.

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant of M. Tech:

  • Pass in B Tech/B.E/B.Sc. Engineering Degree Examination in the respective branch with a minimum of 60% marks from any University in Kerala or an examination of any other University /Institution accepted by this University.
  •  A valid GATE Score will be preferable for M. Tech admission 2024 in CUSAT.
  • In the absence of a sufficient number of candidates with GATE scores, candidates without GATE scores shall also be considered subject to passing a Departmental Admission Test (DAT)

Selection Criteria

The M. Tech selection criteria at the CUSAT include the following:

  • Applicants for the course will be shortlisted based on their GATE exam scores.

CUSAT MBA Admission 2024

The merit list for admission to MBA programs at the CUSAT will be released soon. The MBA program at the university has 120 seats and additional seats for reserved categories. The applicant must have a valid MAT /CAT /CMAT /KMAT score.

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant for an MBA:

  • Graduation in any of the disciplines with 50% marks in aggregate. Final year students expecting the final year/ semester results can also apply.
  •  SEBC candidates of Kerala State who are certified as belonging to the non-creamy layer are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for a qualifying degree.
  • The applicant must have a valid MAT /CAT /CMAT /KMAT score.

Selection Criteria

The MBA selection criteria at the CUSAT include the following:

  • Candidates who apply for the course will be shortlisted as per the MAT /CAT /CMAT /KMAT exam score.
  • The shortlisted candidates have to attend the group discussion by the university.
  • After group discussion, the candidates will be further called for an interview as the final selection stage.
  • A final merit list is then prepared based on MAT /CAT /CMAT /KMAT exam score, written test marks, and performance in the interview round.

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant for UG courses:

  •  SEBC candidates of Kerala State who are certified as belonging to the non-creamy layer are eligible for 5% relaxation in the minimum required marks for qualifying examination for admission in UG courses.
  • For admission into B. Voc course the candidate should have passed plus two with a total of 65% mark or equivalent CGPA in any equivalent examination conducted by recognized Boards with Mathematics / Statistics as one of the Subjects.
  • For admission into the LLB course, the candidate should have passed two examinations with at least 50% marks in the Science group/Commerce /Arts/Humanities stream.
  • For admission into B. com + LLB course the candidate should have passed plus two examinations with at least 60% marks in Science group/Commerce group or with at least 55% marks in Arts/Humanities stream.
  • For admission into BBA + LLB course the candidate should have passed plus two examinations with at least 60% marks in the Science group/Commerce group or with at least 55% marks in Arts/Humanities stream.

  • Admission into B. VOC is based on candidates' performance in the previous exams and the rank secured in CUSAT CAT.
  • Admission into LLB courses will be based on the candidate’s performance in the higher secondary or graduation exam. The final rank list would be based on CUSAT CAT.
  • Admission into B. com + LLB Course is based on the candidate’s performance in the previous exam and the rank secured in CUSAT CAT.
  • Admission into BBA + LLB is based on the candidate’s performance in the previous exam and the rank secured in CUSAT CAT.

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant of PG Courses:

  • For admission into the MA course, the candidate should graduate in the respective subject, with at least a 65 % mark in aggregate.
  • For admission into the MSc course,the candidate should graduate in the respective subject of a recognized university/ board with science subjects (Physics/ chemistry/ mathematics) and have secured at least 55% marks in the qualifying exam.
  • For admission into the MCA course, the candidate should graduate with a BCA / Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering and/or Equivalent degree. B.Sc / B.Com/B.A with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level or graduate /Passed B.Voc Data Analytics course offered by CUSAT and should have obtained at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • To be admitted to the M. FSc course, the candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries/Food Technology/Food Science/Food Microbiology/Biochemistry/Zoology with at least 55% in the optional subjects. Industrial Fisheries / Aquaculture / Fishery Science / Industrial Fish and Fisheries / B.F.Sc. are all examples of bachelor's degrees in Fisheries (Nautical Science). B.Tech / B.E. / B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology / Food Science and Management / Food Science / Food Technology / Food Processing Technology / Food Science and Quality Control is a bachelor's degree in Food Technology / Food Science.
  • For admission into the LLM course, the candidate should be graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 55% marks from any University of Kerala or an examination of any other University accepted by the Syndicate.
  • For admission into M. Voc course the candidate should be an Engineering graduate with 50% marks in the branches of Information Technology / Computer Science / Electronics & Communication or Graduated in Computer Science / Computer Applications / Information Technology / Electronics / Software Development or 60% marks in or Graduates with B.   • Admission into MA courses will be based on the candidate’s performance in the degree and score in CUSAT CAT
  • Admission into MSc courses will be also based on the CUSAT CAT score.
  • Admission into the LLM course will be based on scores in the test, group discussion, and interviews conducted by the university.
  • Admission into M. Fsc. courses will be based on the candidate’s performance in the degree/ qualifying exam and CUSAT CAT for the course.
  • Admission into M. Voc courses will be based on the candidate’s performance in the degree and the CUSAT CAT rank.
  • Admission into MCA courses will be based on the candidate’s performance in the qualifying exam and the final merit list would be based on the CUSAT CAT score.

CUSAT Application Process 2024

The candidates have to follow the below steps to apply online for admission to the University of CUSAT:

  • Visit the official website of the CUSAT and click on the registration tab.
  • The candidate will be asked to enter their name, phone number, personal Email ID, and a password to create an account.
  • Here, the candidates will be required to fill out the information about their education, including the name of their school, the exam board, the year they passed, and the percentage of marks they received, on the application form.
  • The candidates who are applying for post-graduation would have to enter details of their graduation like name of university, course, and marks scored.
  • In the account, the candidates can choose the course for which they would like to apply.
  • The candidates can opt for more than one course and thus apply for the CUSAT CAT with the relevant test code for the courses chosen.
  • Then, the candidates must list their qualifications for the course they have opted for.
  • The candidates have to upload their colour photographs in jpeg. format. The photograph size should not exceed 25KB and should be approximately 140 x 160 pixels.
  • Finally, a declaration should tell me that all the information you have entered is correct.
  • Click the submit button. This will show you a preview before taking you to the gateway for paying registration fees.
  • The candidate has to pay an online registration fee which would be different from the course you choose. Online Payment Gateway facility enables payment through e-banking facilities like Credit cards (Visa/MasterCard) / Debit Card / Internet banking.
  • Then, the list of the centres for appearing in the exam will be shown, from which the candidate has to choose one.
  • Once selecting the centre, the application process is completed. Take a printout of the application for future references.

Qns. How can I get admission to CUSAT?

It will take between 3 and 7 days.
