Compulsory internships in second and third years. Optional internship in the third year. 100% internships since the beginning of the department. Interns been to CSL, GSL, GRCE, MDL, and almost all major shipyards in India, not to mention Oshima Shipyards and Drydocks Dubai and Grandweld Dubai which are not the only yards we've had opportunities to abroad but are definitely the largest. Third year internships mostly have a stipend of atleast 20,000 per month. (All figures in rupees) All internships involve actual workplace experience, and projects and are in-workspace. Yes I have opted for an internship recently . The company name is Infosys and under the Infosys Springboard program I got the internship. But it is unpaid. Under the program we are given some industry oriented projects and we have work on it with the provided mentors.
