Kerala University UG Admission 2026

Kerala University UG admission includes FYUGP courses, B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Sc Nursing, B.Arch and law programmes offered through affiliated colleges. FYUGP admission is based on Plus Two marks, while professional courses use entrance or counselling routes set by CEE Kerala.

Kerala University FYUGP Admission 2026

The Four-Year Undergraduate Programme covers BA, B.Sc, B.Com and allied UG courses in government, aided and self-financing colleges affiliated with Kerala University. For BA, B.Sc and B.Com admission, the university does not hold a separate entrance test. Seats are allotted through CAP using Plus Two or Higher Secondary marks.

Note: Kerala University prepares FYUGP allotment using an index mark instead of only the raw Plus Two total. Subject bonus marks are added to the qualifying exam aggregate. NCC, NSS, Student Police Cadet, Scout and Guide certificate holders get an extra 15-mark bonus. Students must enter every eligible bonus claim before registration closes.

FYUGP seat allotment is fully merit-based. CAP creates the merit list and runs a single-window allotment for government, aided and self-financing affiliated colleges.

• Merit Seats are open without community or category restriction.
• Community Quota Seats are filled using community certificates. The quota is 10% in forward community aided colleges and 20% in backward community aided colleges.
• Reservation Seats are available for SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Differently Abled, Transgender and Sports categories as per Kerala Government rules.
• Sports Quota has a separate provisional rank list issued by the university.
• Tiebreakers follow the rules printed in the FYUGP Prospectus.

How to Apply for Kerala University FYUGP 2026?

• Go to admissions.keralauniversity.ac.in/fyugp2026 and complete registration.
• Pay the application fee online. General and SEBC candidates pay INR 1,500, while SC/ST candidates pay INR 750.
• Enter Plus Two marks and arrange course choices in preference order.
• Upload the required documents, including marksheet, nativity proof and community certificate if applicable.
• Check the trial allotment and edit preferences before the first allotment.
• Accept the allotted seat and pay the admission fee within the given payment window.

Note: Students should add as many eligible course preferences as possible during FYUGP registration. A short preference list can reduce the chance of getting a seat in later rounds.

Kerala University B.Tech Admission 2026

B.Tech and B.E admission in Kerala University affiliated engineering colleges is conducted by CEE Kerala through KEAM and centralised allotment. Kerala University does not run a separate counselling process for engineering seats.

CEE Kerala prepares the KEAM rank from the entrance exam performance. Engineering colleges affiliated with Kerala University join the CEE Kerala centralised allotment. Applicants are grouped as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category I and Non-Keralite Category II.

• Keralite applicants can compete for state quota reserved seats and open merit seats.
• NK-I applicants can compete for seats marked for NK-I candidates.
• NK-II applicants, meaning other Indian nationals, can apply for all seats allotted by CEE Kerala.
• SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, Sports and other reservations follow Kerala Government rules.
• CEE Kerala does not allot management quota seats for KEAM-route engineering colleges in the centralised process. Individual colleges handle management quota admission separately as per government rules.

How to Apply for B.Tech at Kerala University Affiliated Colleges?

• Apply for KEAM 2026 on the CEE Kerala portal at cee.kerala.gov.in/KEAM.
• Take the KEAM entrance exam at the allotted centre.
• Submit Plus Two marks online when CEE Kerala asks for them.
• Enter college and branch preferences on the CEE Kerala portal for centralised allotment.
• Report to the allotted college with original documents and pay the admission fee to confirm the seat.

Kerala University LLB Admission 2026

CEE Kerala manages admission to the Three-Year LLB and Five-Year Integrated LLB programmes in Kerala University affiliated law colleges. The rank list from the law entrance exam is used for CAP allotment.

The law entrance paper for both LLB routes includes General English, General Knowledge, Arithmetic and Mental Ability, and Aptitude for Legal Studies.

• The test has 120 objective-type questions of 3 marks each, for a total of 360 marks.
• The exam duration is 2 hours.
• For each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
• General and SEBC candidates must score at least 10% of the total marks. SC/ST candidates must score at least 5%.
• CEE Kerala CAP allots seats according to the published rank list.

Kerala University PG Admission 2026

Kerala University Teaching Department PG admission is offered through the CSS route. Students must take the departmental entrance exam and then join the centralised allotment. The IMK MBA admission process is separate and uses KMAT, CAT or CMAT scores, followed by GD and PI.

For MA, M.Sc and M.Com under CSS, Kerala University selects students using subject-wise departmental entrance tests based on the student’s undergraduate discipline. After the rank list is published, seats are allotted through CAP.

Kerala University opens PhD registration twice a year, in the January and July sessions. Scholarships at Kerala University 2026
