Why are NMAT cutoffs higher than CAT cutoffs at LPU?

NMAT cutoffs are generally higher (95) at LPU as compared to CAT cutoff (40) due to the lower difficulty level of NMAT. LPU sets higher NMAT cutoffs to provide a level playing field to every student.

Does LPU have its own entrance exam?

Yes, LPU conducts LPUNEST for admission and scholarship to more than 150 UG, PG and PhD courses. The test is conducted in online and test centre based mode.LPUNEST has around 120 questions for B.Tech, Science and Pharmacy programmes. There is no negative marking in the test.
