Sanjay Ghodawat University (SGU) was founded in 2009 as a state-owned private university by the Government of Maharashtra. It is accredited by the NBA and graded ‘A’ by NAAC. It is also recognized by the UGC, AICTE, and the Pharmacy Council of India. In 2023, the SGU Ranking by IIRF was 96th out of 100 colleges under the mass communications category.

SGU offers BTech as its flagship program. To be eligible for admission, candidates must secure a minimum of 45% marks (40% in the case of reserved categories) in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The final selection will be based on the MHT CET or JEE Mains exam score followed by CAP counseling. The SGU cutoff for MHT CET 2024 for the GOPENH category for BTech admission ranges from 5.24 to 79.82. The SGU fees for BTech is INR 5.52 lakhs.

SGU Placements 2023-24 witnessed over 98 companies visiting the campus for recruitment and providing offers to 212 students. The highest CTC offered was INR 36 LPA and the average CTC recorded was INR 3.80 LPA. Some of the recruiters were ADP, Tata Technologies, TCS, L&T, Wipro, Persistent, Bosch, Infosys, Jade Global, etc.
