- PGP: The INR 23.59 Lakhs fee includes INR 22.79 Lakhs as tuition fee and INR 80,000 as student welfare fee. Students must pay the INR 40,000 refundable caution deposit and the INR 25,000 per-term mess/other advance separately.
- PGPMCI: The fee depends on the candidate category. Module 1 costs INR 2.31 Lakhs + GST for current students of participating technical institutions and INR 2.97 Lakhs + GST for eligible CFTI/INI alumni. Module 2 costs INR 4.40 Lakhs + GST for both groups.
IIM Visakhapatnam Admission 2027
IIM Visakhapatnam runs a separate admission process for each programme. The eligibility rules, accepted entrance tests, shortlisting method and final selection process differ by course. PGP admission is through CAT 2026. PGPMCI accepts CAT, GRE or GMAT scores instead of its aptitude test. EMBA needs at least 3 years of post-qualification work experience, while PhD admission accepts different tests based on the specialisation.

IIM Visakhapatnam PGPMCI Selection Criteria
- Eligibility: The course is open to eligible B.Tech/B.Arch and M.Tech/M.Arch students and recent CFTI/INI graduates.
- Aptitude Test: Applicants who do not have CAT/GRE/GMAT scores must take the online PGPMCI Aptitude Test. Valid test scores can exempt a student from this test.
- Final Merit: The merit score uses Class 10 (15%), Class 12 (15%), UG/PG (30%), Gender Diversity (10%) and Aptitude Test/CAT/GRE/GMAT (30%).
Note: The selection details are based on the previous admission policy. IIMV has not released the PGP 2027-29 policy yet.
IIM Visakhapatnam EMBA Selection Criteria
- Shortlisting: IIMV reviews the application details and the documents submitted by the applicant.
- Entrance Test: Shortlisted candidates appear for EMAT. A valid CAT, GRE or GMAT score may give an exemption.
- Final Selection: The final score uses EMAT/CAT/GRE/GMAT (47.5%), PI (47.5%) and Gender Diversity (5%).

IIM Visakhapatnam has its permanent campus at Gambheeram Village, Anandapuram Mandal, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The campus covers 241.5 acres and is located 25 km from the city campus along NH-16. It is planned as a modern residential management campus with academic, accommodation, dining, library, sports and student-support facilities.

Ans. Yes. The PGP at IIM Visakhapatnam is a two-year full-time residential MBA programme. Students have to live in the institute hostel during the course, even if they already live in Visakhapatnam.

Ans. IIM Visakhapatnam gives an MBA degree for its two-year flagship PGP. The institute has awarded the MBA degree to PGP students from the 2016-18 batch onward.
Ques. What CAT percentile is needed at the first shortlisting stage of IIM Visakhapatnam?
Ans. For the 2026-28 batch, General category students needed a minimum overall CAT percentile of 82 for the first shortlist, with at least 70 percentile in every section. Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is great as it more focused in second year. Also the faculty have great learning experience, they support entrepreneurship. In terms of fees they are charging fees of 18.5 lakhs but that is totally worth it.
Placement Experience:
We faced little difficulty in summer internship as it is market down year but still our college did really well in summer placement and also in final placement what i heard from our seniors. TBH we did better than our same level colleges
