KLH Admission Process

KLH applies AICTE-approved rules when admitting students. Depending on the course, selection may use national, state or university entrance scores. KLEEE gives B.Tech applicants an additional university-level route.

B.Tech Admission

  1. Complete Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects and obtain at least 60% marks.
  2. Take KLEEE, JEE Main, JEE Advanced, or TS EAMCET. KLEEE, the KL Engineering Entrance Examination, is conducted by KL University in several test windows. JEE Main is an NTA examination held in January and April, JEE Advanced is available to leading JEE Main qualifiers, and TS EAMCET is Telangana's state engineering entrance test.
  3. Attend KLH counselling after qualifying through an accepted entrance rank.
  4. Receive the final seat and scholarship decision. KLEEE ranks are considered for merit scholarships, and better ranks can lead to larger fee concessions.

MBA Admission

  1. Earn a bachelor's degree from a UGC-recognised university with at least 50% marks.
  2. Submit a valid KLBSAT, TSICET, ICET, MAT, CAT, or XAT score.
  3. If shortlisted, appear for the Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by KLH faculty.
  4. Final selection considers the entrance result, previous academic record, Group Discussion and Personal Interview performance.

BBA and BCA Admission

  1. Complete Class 12 through a recognised board.
  2. Apply using KLEEE, CUET, or direct merit based on Class 12 marks.
  3. A separate entrance examination is not compulsory for these courses. However, taking KLEEE can make a student eligible for scholarship consideration.

Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Deloitte, Cisco, Oracle and Capgemini are among the major recruiters. KLH's access to the HITEC City and Gachibowli corridor also places students near the Hyderabad delivery centres of more than 1,500 technology companies, supporting campus recruitment activity.

Note: These results combine the Vaddeswaram main campus, Hyderabad campus and other KL University campuses. Separate KLH placement figures have not been reported. Students can ask the KLH placement cell for campus-level trends before deciding.

KLH Rankings

KLH forms part of KLEF, so its institutional position appears within the combined rankings of KL University rather than as a separate Hyderabad campus entry. NIRF 2024 placed the university in four categories.

Ranking BodyCategory2024 Rank
NIRFUniversity22
NIRFEngineering35
NIRFManagement79
NIRFOverall40

All four positions apply to KL University as a whole. KLH students receive degrees carrying the KL University name, while the parent institution holds a NAAC A++ grade and an engineering rank of 35.

KLH Campus and Infrastructure

KLH operates in Hyderabad's northern technology corridor in Telangana. The campus has links to the HITEC City IT area, can be reached through the Hyderabad Metro, and lies 30 km from Hyderabad International Airport.

Academic facilities include smart classrooms and computer laboratories equipped with industry-standard software. Teaching is handled by faculty members with academic and industry backgrounds. Across its institutions, KL University has 600 acres of infrastructure, with KLH functioning as its growing Hyderabad extension. Separate hostels for boys and girls charge INR 1,38,725 to INR 1,48,725 per year, including accommodation and boarding.

Students also join the wider KL University network. This gives them access to alumni connected with the Vaddeswaram campus, an entrepreneurship cell, academic partnerships with technology companies, common learning management system platforms, shared course-delivery frameworks and the university's placement infrastructure.

KLH vs GITAM Hyderabad vs Mahindra University

Students considering private deemed universities in Hyderabad often assess KLH alongside GITAM Hyderabad and Mahindra University for engineering or management. The three institutions operate in the Hyderabad region, offer B.Tech and/or MBA programmes, and have AICTE approval and UGC Deemed status.

KLH combines its parent's 22nd position in the NIRF 2024 University category with an established placement network. GITAM has operated in Hyderabad since 2007 and provides a wider mix of programmes in law, pharmacy and science. Mahindra University follows a newer technology-focused curriculum and draws on Mahindra Group industry partnerships, although its recent establishment leaves it without NIRF coverage.
