All about BASEU

What I Liked

The best thing about the college is the marvellous curriculum. It is very relevant to the real world and mostly focuses on practical applications and not just a theoretical mug up which is prevalent in most Indian colleges
The hostel facilities are great as you are provided with spacious rooms. For 1st and 2nd year, the rooms are shared by 4 students. Then for 3rd year, shared by 2 students and for final years, every student gets a single room

What I didn’t like

One of the biggest drawbacks is the fact that the faculty is not appointed as a permanent basis and leave very quickly. This results in the campus losing a lot of professors regularly.
The campus life is pretty dull due to the less number of students. Little to no fests are arranged by the authorities which make this huge campus lacking in liveliness.

Placement Experience:

So as for the placements there is a training and placement office that is run by the administration. This offers campus placements to a lot of students. Students can expect an average placement of approximately 8 lakhs. There are companies like EY and Infosys that offer placements.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internships but the students normally seek for internships themselves. Some popular companies for internships are Infosys, EY, Nitin Ayog and even RBI. The students also intern as a junior or assistant researchers with the college professors or even professors from other colleges.

Pretty good college if you are interested in Economics.

What I Liked

I like Student Centre facilities and Cafeteria Area and so much of socialising happens there.
Faculty are very experienced with good qualifications. Their teaching and course handling methods are above mark and calculative.

What I didn’t like

Hostels sometimes because they are surrounded by honey bees and also there are long power outages sometimes.
Our campus is surrounded by forest which is dangerous sometimes because we have seen snakes in the campus here and there.

Placement Experience:

Placements and internships at the college are handled by the placement cell here. Maintaining a decent CGPA is necessary for good placement opportunities. We have recruiters like EY, Societe Generale, Good Business Lab, NSE, Exim Bank, etc. The average package is 5 LPA for Data analyst/ financial analyst roles and the highest package received was 9 LPA. 75 percent of students get the placements. My plans after getting the degree are to work for 2-3 years and go for an MBA after that.

Internships Opportunities:

I have previously done an internship at CESS Hyderabad (Research Institute) and that was done by myself and not through college placement. EY, Societe Generale, Exim Bank, and NSE have offered internships as well and with good stipends. They offer projects relating to data analysis and reporting, Handling various other projects relating to Credit Risk modeling, Risk and Portfolio analysis, etc.

Academics: the stepping stone to our future

What I Liked

The college infrastructure is the best part of our college
Availability of clubs in the campus are good

What I didn’t like

More Number of Faculty members need to be added
Opportunity for sports need to be given some extra stress

Placement Experience:

The college has good placement opportunities, with many students securing positions through campus selection. During our course, we receive certain privileges when undertaking internships. Faculty members also support us in finding internships during our 6th semester.
