Periyar University situated in Salem was established by the Tamil Nadu in 1997. The New Delhi based University Grants Commissions, gave 2F status during 1998 and a 12(b) status during 2005, it has also been accredited with”A” grade by NAAC. It has been ranked #83 in the ‘India Rankings 2020’

The University also offers several Research-based programs like M.Phil and Ph.D Under streams like Arts, Science and Commerce, the eligibility criteria for such programs is a Master’s degree related to the subject with a minimum of 55% marks.

Periyar University Admission Process 

Applicants who are willing to apply for the university must meet the eligibility criteria as said according to the respective courses. The applicants can also apply online by visiting the official website of the university and further downloading the application form, and filling in all the details appropriately with required information of Documents, Photographs, & Signature then one can upload the form. They can make payments using the method of Debit Card/ Credit Card or by the process of Netbanking.
