BCAS considers only CUET UG scores for admission to its B.Sc (Hons.) programmes. Applicants select their preferred colleges and courses through the CSAS portal, after which seats are assigned by CUET merit. As a government-aided constituent college of Delhi University, BCAS has neither direct admission nor a management quota.

Polymer Science and Instrumentation are specialised applied science subjects that are uncommon at other Delhi University colleges.
BCAS Admission Process
B.Sc (Hons.) Admission
Admission to every BCAS B.Sc (Hons.) course takes place through CUET UG and the University of Delhi CSAS portal. The college does not hold a separate entrance test or reserve seats under a management quota.
- Check programme eligibility. Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, and Instrumentation require PCM. Chemistry, Food Technology, and Polymer Science accept PCB or PCM. Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Botany, and Zoology require PCB. English is compulsory for most programmes.
- Meet the Class 12 marks requirement under DU rules, which is generally 45% for the General category and 40% for SC and ST applicants.
- Register for CUET UG and take the examination.
- Complete DU CSAS registration and enter college and programme preferences.
- Wait for allotment based on the CUET score, accept the assigned seat, pay the fee, and complete document verification at BCAS.
Competition reflects the college's NIRF Rank 45 position, with Computer Science and Electronics generally needing higher CUET scores. Biomedical Sciences and Microbiology draw Biology-stream applicants who take CUET with the required domain subjects.
Category and Fee Concession
Delhi University reservation rules apply at BCAS, including 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC-NCL, and 10% for EWS. A 5% horizontal reservation for PwD applicants is also available under DU guidelines. Eligible students may apply for Government of NCT of Delhi fee concession schemes and NSP scholarships.
BCAS Career Outcomes
BCAS is an undergraduate college centred on applied sciences and does not organise conventional campus recruitment drives. Students instead follow several higher-education and employment routes connected to their disciplines.
| Pathway | Common Routes | Notes |
| Postgraduate Education | M.Sc at IITs, NIT, DU, JNU, central universities | CUET PG and university-level entrance exams |
| Research Fellowships | CSIR-NET and JRF, DBT-JRF, ICAR-JRF | A common option for Microbiology, Biochemistry, and Physics graduates |
| Competitive Examinations | UPSC CSE, State PSC, SSC, Banking | Graduates from every stream are eligible |
| Industry (STEM) | IT, Biotech, Food Tech, Electronics, Pharma | Opportunities depend on the student's discipline and additional certifications |
| GATE | Computer Science, Electronics, Instrumentation | Can lead to postgraduate study and PSU employment |
Many BCAS graduates enter M.Sc and research programmes at IITs, IISERs, and Delhi University's postgraduate colleges. Research-focused faculty and the active IAEA collaboration give undergraduates laboratory research exposure. Computer Science and Electronics graduates also move into software work or take GATE for admission to M.Tech programmes.
BCAS Rankings
In the NIRF 2025 College category, BCAS achieved a score of 60.2 and placed 45th in India. It is among the few Delhi University colleges outside the North Campus and South Campus groups to enter the national top 50. The result reflects its faculty research, teaching, and student outcomes.
| Ranking Body | Category | 2025 Rank |
| NIRF | College (India) | 45 (Score: 60.2) |
Note: BCAS takes part in NIRF under the College category rather than the University or Engineering categories. Its 60.2 score covers Teaching, Learning and Resources, Research and Professional Practices, Graduation Outcomes, Outreach and Inclusivity, and Perception.
BCAS Campus and Infrastructure
BCAS operates from Sector 2, Dwarka, New Delhi 110075, in South West Delhi. The planned residential area is connected by the Delhi Metro Blue Line and Blue Branch Line, allowing students to reach the college from different parts of Delhi NCR.
Facilities include a central library, science laboratories for all 18 departments, a sports complex, an open gymnasium, an amphitheatre, and a canteen. WiFi is available in academic and administrative spaces, and the campus has a barrier-free design. Students can participate in active NSS and NCC units. An IQAC handles quality assurance, while the Internal Complaints Committee operates according to UGC rules.
The research facilities support undergraduate projects, department-level mini-projects, and collaborative work conducted under the IAEA MoU. For its green campus work, BCAS received the "Champion of Harit Umang" certificate from Panasonic in 2026.
