MICA Ahmedabad PGDM-C and PGDM Admission 2027

MICA PGDM-C and PGDM are two-year residential programmes offered under the School of Management and follow the same multi-stage admission process, with greater emphasis on quantitative ability in PGDM.

Eligibility Criteria 2027

The academic eligibility for PGDM and PGDM-C is the same, while the entrance requirement distinguishes these programmes from MICA’s other courses.

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) in any discipline from an institution recognised by AIU.
• A minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA is required.
• Candidates must have a valid score in CAT, XAT, or GMAT.
• Final-year students can also apply, provided they submit the required certificate from the head of their institution.
• Candidates must submit their final mark sheet by December 31 of the admission year. Failure to meet the deadline results in automatic cancellation of provisional admission.
• CGPA or grades must be converted into percentage as per the university's prescribed conversion method. If no conversion formula is provided, CGPA is multiplied by 10.
• For candidates with incomplete degrees, marks are calculated based on the completed semesters.
• The programme fee was INR 30.1 lakh for the 2027-29 batch, subject to revision.

Selection Criteria 2027

MICA uses a multi-stage selection process for PGDM admissions, with candidates required to clear each stage before moving to the next.

• Psychometric Test: Section A of MICAT is a qualifying stage.
• CAT, XAT or GMAT: The applicable entrance examination score is considered after the psychometric screening, with a minimum cut-off applicable for the admission cycle.
• MICAT Aptitude Test: Section C evaluates Divergent and Convergent Thinking, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Awareness.
• MICAT Descriptive Test: Section B is evaluated after the required aptitude cut-offs are cleared.
• Candidates who clear the prescribed stages are shortlisted for the Group Exercise (GE) and Personal Interview (PI).
• The final selection is based on the composite score across the prescribed components.

For PGDM, MICAT consists of three sections:

• Section A: Psychometric Test — qualifying in nature
• Section B: Descriptive Test
• Section C: Divergent and Convergent Thinking, Verbal Ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, and General Awareness

MICA does not announce a fixed CAT or XAT percentile cut-off in advance. The institute specifies that a minimum cut-off applies for each admission cycle. Section B and Section C also have prescribed cut-offs, while the QADI requirement may differ between PGDM and PGDM-C.

The final composite score is calculated using the following weightage:

Thus, the written examination components account for 60% of the final composite, while GE and PI together account for 30%.

How to Apply for MICA PGDM 2027?

The MICAT application form and MICA admission form are the same. Candidates do not need to submit a separate institute application after appearing for the exam.

• Register on the MICA admissions portal.
• Enter personal, academic and contact details and upload the required photograph and signature.
• Select PGDM-C, PGDM or both and choose the preferred MICAT test cities.
• Enter CAT, XAT or GMAT details. For XAT, candidates need to enter only the registration number.
• Pay the application fee of INR 2,500 for one programme and INR 500 for each additional programme.
• Update the entrance exam score on the portal after the results are declared.
• Download the MICAT admit card and appear for MICAT I, MICAT II or both.

Note: The application fee is non-refundable, including if a candidate is later found ineligible. Candidates should check the 50% graduation requirement and degree recognition criteria before submitting the application.

MICA Ahmedabad PGCM-AMC and PGCM-DMMC Admission 2027

MICA’s PGCM-AMC and PGCM-DMMC are 11-month residential programmes offered under the School of Applied Creativity. These programmes were earlier known as CCC and CCE. Both programmes use MICAT as the common entrance stage, after which their selection processes differ.

Eligibility Criteria 2027:

• Candidates applying for PGCM-AMC must hold a Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) in any discipline recognised by AIU, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA.
• PGCM-DMMC also follows the applicable bachelor’s degree eligibility requirement.
• CAT, XAT or GMAT scores are not required for either programme.
• Final-year students can apply, subject to the applicable certificate and documentation requirements.
• MICA’s selection process evaluates candidates for creative thinking, writing ability and the ability to develop and present ideas.
• A candidate cannot apply to both schools through a single MICAT attempt.
• Candidates can apply for up to three programmes from one school during an admission cycle.

Selection Criteria 2027:

The MICAT paper for the School of Applied Creativity differs from the management programmes and focuses more on creative aptitude and potential.

• PGCM-AMC: Section A – Psychometric Test; Section B – Creative Aptitude and Potential (CAP).

MICA Ahmedabad FPM Admission 2027

MICA’s FPM is a four-year doctoral programme equivalent to a PhD and is offered under the School of Management. Unlike the institute’s fee-based management programmes, FPM scholars receive financial support during the programme. The selection process includes MICAT, an online screening interview and a campus-based selection round.

Eligibility Criteria 2027

Candidates applying for the FPM must have a three-year bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree approved by UGC, AIU or AICTE, with at least 60% marks or First Class. The master’s degree should be in Management, Communications, Humanities or Social Sciences.

• The bachelor’s degree can be from any discipline.
• Foreign nationals and NRIs with equivalent qualifications may apply with the required GRE score.
• Candidates with exposure to marketing, media or advertising may have an added advantage.
• FPM scholars receive a full tuition fee waiver for the programme.
• The monthly stipend is INR 38,000 in Years 1 and 2 and INR 41,000 in Years 3 and 4.
• A yearly contingency grant of INR 25,000 to INR 30,000 is provided towards research-related expenses.

• Pay the INR 2,500 processing fee for one programme.
