Very nice experience and so happy sharing about my college

What I Liked

I liked our college environment very much. Faculties are very friendly and good teachers. Senior junior relationship is very well too.
College has a heritage no one can ignore. It's more like our college shows the path to every college in our state.

What I didn’t like

Our college has no sports ground. We have to play in other grounds to carry on our sports culture.
College is very congested and building is everywhere. Meanwhile our hostel is 5-7 min away from our lecture theatre. That annoys me

Placement Experience:

Placements are quite good in MBBS. As i am studying in the top medical college of our state so it's bit natural for everyone to get govt opportunities after MBBS. Someone can do postgraduation by giving NEET PG exam. Our college ranks very well. In NIRF our college ranks 42 in whole country. RMO, GDMO, MO etc that's are some of posts one can get after completing MBBS.

Remarks:

I am reading in the Oldest medical college in Asia and the best medical college in West Bengal. Of course it has the best education in our state if not the best in the country. Daily year there are several rankholders in NEET PG from our college. Besides it has the no political influence from state or central government. Medical shows every bit of path to every colleges.

Medical College Kolkata:- Oldest medical College

What I Liked

The patient input is very high in the college due to its legacy. So every intern gets a proper exposure of the practical experience.
The location of college is just at a walking distance from the college. So if someone one wans to explore the kolkata city, it will be good college from this aspect also.

What I didn’t like

Every thing is good, but there may be problem of language barrier for the students taking admission in college through All India Quota. But after 1-2 years you will learn Bengali language for sure
Mess food is average. But there are more numbers of mess so options are available for one to switch the taste.

Placement Experience:

Placement is good because after the completion of the course, every student gets a job in any hospital or if they opt for PG, they also get an average of 1 lakh in PG colleges. In a nutshell, MBBS is an experience-based job, the more experienced you are the more earnings you have.

Remarks:

The Medical College Kolkata is the oldest medical College in Asia. So the legacy and the fame of college attracted me to be a part of this college. Moreover, the distance from home and transport factors were also the provoking factors. For admission to the Medical College Kolkata, one has to crack the Neet exam organized by the National Testing Agency. This exam happens every year.

Placement Experience:

MD,MCH,DM can be done. After completion of mbbs. Internship is available for mbbs students. Eligibility cutoff is high in NEET pg as well e NEET UG also. Approximately 670/720 is required in NEET UG for general category students

Remarks:

Pros . oldest medical college Ranked 43 rd among all medical colleges in india as of 2022 Cons. Political involvement is somewhat concerning Being old some infrastructure is old and outdated too Somewhat filthy Overall a good college

Our's Medical College

What I Liked

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN JUNIOR STUDENT AND SENIOR STUDENT IS VERY GOOD, THEY HELP EACH OTHER.
DEPARTMENT OF THE COLLEGE IS VERY HELP FUL.

What I didn’t like

THE CAMPS ARE VERY SMALL COMPARED TO OTHER COLLAGE.
THE AREA IS NOT SAFE SURROUNDING THE COLLEGE.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I CHOOSED NURSING COURSE BECAUSE I AM INTERESTED ON IT. AND ITS AFFORDABLE COMPARED TO OTHER COURSES. TEACHERS ARE GOOD FOR TEACHING BUT CONNECTION BETWEEN TEACHER AND STUDENT IS LOW. THE EXAM OF NURSING IS MODERED TO DIFICULT LEVEL, YOU NEED TO WORK HARD FOR CRACK IT. THE TOTAL TUTION FEES FOR B.Sc. in nursing 40000 ruppes and avg. fees per year is rupees 80000 to 1.5 lakhs.

KOLKATA MEDICAL COLLEGE IS A ONE OF THE BEST MEDICAL COLLEGE ALL OVER INDIA. WHO PASSES FROM THIS COLLEGE WHO BECOME DOCTOR. SENIOR DOCTORS ARE HERE IS VERY HELPFUL AND PATIENT FULLY. ADMISSION IS BASED ON UG AND NEET EXAM RANK, THE NEET QUALIFYING CUT OFF BSc 50 percentile for general category and 40 percentile for SC/ST/OBC. I AM ALSO CATAGORY OF ST RESERVED CAST. I RANKED 61 PERCENT ON UG AND 54 PERCENT FROM NEET AND MY CUT OFF WAS 40 SO I EASILY QUALIFIED FOR ADMISSION. DEPARTMENT OF COLLEGE IS VERY FRIENDLY BUT NEGETIVE SIDE OF MY DEPARTMENT WAS LIBRARY WAS NOT LARGE FOR ENOUGH STUDENTS, THE TEACHER TO STUDENT RATIO WAS INSUFFICIENT AND LOW, LABS ARE OLD FROM THE SIDE OF TECHNOLOGY, AND TEACHING CONDITIONS ARE NOT SUCH GOOD, BUT COLLEGE IS BEST FOR MEDICAL STUDY.
