Likes
- I liked our college environment very much. Faculties are very friendly and good teachers. Senior junior relationship is very well too.
- College has a heritage no one can ignore. It's more like our college shows the path to every college in our state.
Dislikes
- Our college has no sports ground. We have to play in other grounds to carry on our sports culture.
- College is very congested and building is everywhere. Meanwhile our hostel is 5-7 min away from our lecture theatre. That annoys me
Remarks :
I am reading in the Oldest medical college in Asia and the best medical college in West Bengal. Of course it has the best education in our state if not the best in the country. Daily year there are several rankholders in NEET PG from our college. Besides it has the no political influence from state or central government. Medical shows every bit of path to every colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our course i. e, MBBS is consists of 9 semesters in four professional years and a year for internship. Total 5.5 years. I did choose this course because of my family's will especially my mother's. Our faculties each are MBBS, MD/MS passed and excellent qualified. Their teaching is good overall. Our semesters are more like internals. And there's a tough external exam at the end of the year called MB.
Internships Opportunities :
In MBBS we have to do a one year internship compulsorily. It's basically teaches how to fo basic treatments in every situation, doing channels, taking blood, doing sutures including all emergency services. They have to do every ward duties in each department. Internship has a good stipend too.
Placement Experience :
Placements are quite good in MBBS. As i am studying in the top medical college of our state so it's bit natural for everyone to get govt opportunities after MBBS. Someone can do postgraduation by giving NEET PG exam. Our college ranks very well. In NIRF our college ranks 42 in whole country. RMO, GDMO, MO etc that's are some of posts one can get after completing MBBS.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Firstly we have semester fees 4500 and 2 semesters in a year. Secondly the hostel fee is 144 in a year. Canteen fees are 54000 in a year. There is book and other tuition fees including library fees, subscription fees for lectures etc. Including all there's approx 78144 tuition fees for us in a year.
Campus Life :
As i am a hosteller i have to accommodate near the college campus in our official hostel. Hostel life is so great. Campus life is not less boring. We have too many fun sessions. We have a annual fest and a fresher's party each year named Rhapsody and Alapan. We have a good library where a lot of books are available. Our lecture theatres are so big and has a crazy history when you think about it. We are good at sports too. There are multiple clubs for literature, dancing, singing, sports
Hostel Facilities :
I accommodatesd in a hostel called Main Boy's Hostel. It's a hostel with huge area, 5 floors. We have to apply in student section at the time of admission to get room. The rooms are very large and 4 person per room. Food quality overall good. Menu varies every day in a week. Meat, egg, fish, paneer! One can eat anything. Those who have distance of house more than 40 km from the college can get hostel at first round. It's very affordable

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
