RIMS Ranchi (Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences) is a Medical college based in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. This medical institute is an autonomous body formed under the Jharkhand Assembly Act in the year 1960. The first president of this college is Rajendra Prasad hence the college got its early name to be Rajendra Medical College Hospital.

I want to be doctor. For a medical practitioner one must complete a MBBS degree from aunthetic institute. All facilities are highly qualified and experienced. Teaching methodologies are very practical.

The total duration of the course is 5 years which includes 4 years of exams and one year of internship. Financial assistance is not as available but you can avail of online scholarships like e-kalyan which most of the students here do. A Bonafide certificate is provided by the college.
Internship is provided in the last year of your course for one year. My plan after completing the scores is to pursue MDS. College placement is not available through college but in an internship, you get a salary of rupees 30000 per month.

You have to appear for 3 internal exams and one University exam every year to pass and go to the next year. The total duration of this course is 5 years out of which four years are for learning and passing exams and one year is for internship. Financial assistance is only available through the government online scholarships many students here are away from the e Kalyan scholarship. Bonafide is provided by the college.
There is no college placement. You are only provided one year of internship in which you are granted a salary of rupees 30000 per month for 1 year. You probably should prepare for MDS or many other fields like UPSC if you desire to but BDS in itself makes you capable enough to start your clinic.

All the facilities have well-qualified and experienced doctors in their particular departments. Government medical college fees are minimal compared to any other private medical college fee, ranging from 10000 per year tuition fee.
After completing MBBS one can apply for a house surgeon course with a monthly income of 80k-90k or one can start a private practice in hospitals or self-established clinics. The requirement for getting a job in any private hospital is a minimal MBBS degree.

Read Full ReviewI choose this course because I always wanted to be a doctor. The faculty members and the professors are highly qualified and experienced doctors with atleast 10 years of experience. The teaching method is according to the guidelines of NMC which includes lectures, SGD(short group discussion) practicals. Term exams occur regularly after 3 months. The difficulty level is moderate. The cost to study is very low. Average fee for the year is around 10000. There are lots of scholarships provided by the state and the central government for the students.
After completing the course there are lots of job opportunities in government and corporate hospitals. You can even start your own clinic. There is no system of placement in medical college. Average salary after completing MBBS is around 50,000-70,000 depending upon the city. Majority of the students after completing the course opt for higher studies.

After the completion of 4.4 years of academics one year internship is compulsory for which 30k per months is provided. After which one can clear Neet pg exam and get salary of 1 Lakh per months in Same or different college
