Ranchi University is inviting applications for admission to MPhil and PhD Programmes in Clinical Psychology and Psychiatric Social Work. Candidates can apply by filling out the application form and submitting it at the RU Ranchi Campus before the last date.
RU Ranchi Eligibility Criteria
- For PhD Programme: Candidates must have a diploma or MPhil in a relevant subject.
- For MPhil in Clinical Psychology- Candidates must have an M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate.
- For MPhil in Psychiatric Social Work- Candidates must have an MA in Social Work with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate.
RU Ranchi Admission Details
- Selection will be based on the Entrance Test conducted by the University.
- Entrance Exam will consist of 100 MCQs based on the prescribed syllabus at the PG level of the University at the National level.
- 2 marks will be awarded for each correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Candidate must report at the examination centre half an hour before the commencement of the examination.
- For PhD Admission, the cut-off mark will be 50% for General & OBC candidates and 45% for SC & ST candidates.
- For the MPhil Programme, a Practical examination will be conducted on the day of the interview for all the candidates who qualified the written examination.
- Final selection for the MPhil Programme will be done on a merit basis as per the performance in the entrance examination and interview (Practical/Viva-voce).
