Sri Manakula Vinayagar Medical College- detailed review

What I Liked

Infrastructure is beautiful, spacious classrooms, clean areas, very green environment.
Faculty is nice, few are helpful and will take an extra mile to help you if you are not able to understand something.

What I didn’t like

Campus life is nil. There is only one cafe and one restaurant that are good for nothing. Basic requirements are not available in the campus.
There are no inter college events such as culturals or sports day event conducted, so the interaction with the other colleges is very minimal. Only a conference is conducted every year named SIMSCON, for the students by the students.

Placement Experience:

Being in a medical college, there isn't a thing about placements but an internship is available in the hospital. It's a rotatory internship and you are given only a 5000 per month stipend for it. After a one-year internship, you can go join any hospital after an interview or can join this college itself as a junior resident doctor.

Remarks:

The college has an amazing infrastructure, well-lit classrooms, and a hospital. The patient load is good and the professors are very helpful. Regular weekly internal assessments are conducted without fail, and if a holiday has been given on a particular day, it is made sure that an extra class is being conducted for it.

A VIEW THROUGH MBBS LIFE IN SMVMCH

What I Liked

I like the infrastructure and the facilities available
Facilities and academic performances of al students

What I didn’t like

Management not always cooperative with hosting programs
Hostel is very strict and the food can be improvised there

Placement Experience:

No campus placement for MBBS Planning to pursue PG and then write PLAB or USMLE and try to work abroad Other higher studies such as DNB also available at few colleges

Remarks:

I had got into the college via an agency in Kochi. MBBS requires NEET qualification for admission purposes. I got through the management seat, (CENTAC seats available for residents of Pondicherry/Mahe) the college offers excellent academics patient inflow is pretty good. resources available strict and less extracurricular activities location is not very suitable
