My college life of CGC landran

What I Liked

I like the campus and its facilities and overall
I like the friendly nature of every one in campus

What I didn’t like

I don’t like its guards security , they are very rude
I don’t even like its parking place , they take parking charge and still no security of vehicle

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels are very great as there is 4 hostels for boys and 1 giant hostel for girls , hostels are. Very neat and clean , mess service is very best and food is average type, eatable food we say , but sometimes it is great

Campus Life:

Campus life is great , there is so many shops and amenities inside the campus , as well there are 4 canteens in college , and 17-18 food shops , stationary shops . And there is a 24x7 medical dispensary and ambulance service is available inside campus and also for hostel students

What I Liked

The college infrastructure is very good of this college.
There are very good classroom facilities. They provide cctv camera for the each classroom.

Hostel Facilities:

This college also provide hostel facility for the student. They provide a seperate mess for the hostlers . The food quality of the mess is very good . They serve very Good food.and there is also a pg or flat outside the college.

Campus Life:

The campus life of this college is very good . There are many event herl in my college. This college provide a library for the student to study. There are many social groups run by the student of my college.

Chandigarh's best college review

What I Liked

Faculty is very supportive for students who are willing to do something great in their life and yes for those students also who are introvert and less interactive in class faculty and staff provide equal opportunities to everybody
The campus life is very good at cgc landran because of regular happening fests .

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure the campus is not so big of cgc landran it is limited in terms of space but on the other hand the infrastructure is attractive and the owners are working on it very hard

Hostel Facilities:

I was in hostel for the starting 2 years this year only i shifted outside because of my personal issues, food quality and quantitiy is best i havr ever seen or listen hostel is quite affordable for every student who is middle class localtiy is very nice you can easily get room and pgs there

Campus Life:

Life at campus is chill . And most importantly the place like chandigarh where you can enjoy life very nicely . There are one grand fest basically known as parivartan which goes on for 3 days and its a only good event which happens at cgc. There are lots more mini events but they are just boring nothing intresting happens here.

What I Liked

I like the campus of the College , it's beautiful and big
I also like the teachers understanding towards students.

What I didn’t like

I dislike that sometimes teachers are not able to complete their Syllabus
and one more is that there is very less sports environment

Hostel Facilities:

Yes, I opted for a hostel, First I want to say that the food is average and sometimes it's very bad, sometimes hard to eat that thing which they make, I got my hostel by giving them the hostel fees. I did not opt for a PG or a Room till now.

Campus Life:

The campus is very nice. Libraries are also good, we can have any book from there which we want, sometimes there is a lack of books on specific subjects, Sports activities are average here. They conduct tests which are sem exams, one and a half months after the start of the Semester.

Transforming Lives, Building Careers: My Life at CEC-CGC

What I Liked

This college doesn’t try to fool you with top packages and buzzwords. When I came here, the teachers told everyone from the first day that they would give us opportunities, and we just have to grab them with our skills. Everyone will be placed according to the skills they have learned during the course.
The infrastructure of the college is quite good, with all the necessary facilities available. Clubs and societies are here, just like the top Indian colleges. Students from almost every part of the country come here, so the environment and exposure are excellent. You get to meet a lot of people and develop your social and communication skills. The teachers are well-behaved and don’t force you to study excessively or always follow their instructions.
The finances are also sorted for me. I belong to a low-income family from Bihar and benefit from the Bihar Student Credit Card loan scheme, which pays my college fees. Almost every time, the government body or BSCC sends the payment after the due date, and while other students would be fined a hefty late fee, it is waived for educational loan beneficiaries. I find this very kind and generous towards the students.
I would rate the college about 3.7 out 5 overall, the environment,exposure and oppportunnities and flexibility the college provides would be 4.5 out of 5, and the most important the placements be 3.6 out of 5.

What I didn’t like

In my first year, I had very good teachers, with only 2-3 exceptions. However, my friends in other branches and sections got worse teachers who just come to class, read the printed notes or slides, and pass the period. Now, in this semester, it’s reversed: I got the worst teachers, and they got much better ones. It depends on your luck which kind of teacher you will get. The labs are just a waste of time; you will learn absolutely nothing in any subject lab, whether it's Physics, Chemistry, EGD, OOPS, or DSA. Even though all the necessary equipment is available in every lab, they are not effective for learning.

For my batch, 2023-27, there are 7 sections of CSE, 4 of IT, 3 of ECE, 3-4 specialization branches, and 2 mechanical sections, with every class having 65 students. This is a huge number, and the competition is intense. The placements of this college are under Chandigarh. University, so students of both the college compete together making the number about 4000-5000 per year. So, to even get a 10-15LPA normal job, you have to be in the top 5% of your class, Continuously gaining skills, working on your communications skills and social interactions, behaviour,etc to shine among others.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostels are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis. You may share a room with a freshman or a final-year student. Rooms come in AC and non-AC categories with 4/3/2/1 seater, and prices vary accordingly.The hostel is cleaned daily, and the bathrooms are cleaned twice a day. Proper hygiene is maintained everywhere. The infrastructure is well-built with good ventilation and greenery. Hostel wardens are strict but wellbehaved, unlike in movies. Students enjoy time in the hostels. The girls' hostel is very strict about safety and privacy,with fixed times for both boys and girls to go outside the campus. Violations can lead to parental notification or removal from the hostelThe mess food is good but not like home-cooked meals. It's tasty and nutritious enough balanced diet. The chefs are experienced and maintain proper hygiene. However, the cooking style, with fewer spices, may not suit all students. Despite this, the variety and quality of food cater to different preferences.

Campus Life:

The infrastructure of the college is outstanding, offering all the necessary facilities students could ask for. Everything is designed to enhance the learning experience, from state-of-the-art labs to well-stocked libraries and modern classrooms. Clubs and societies thrive here, providing countless opportunities for extracurricular engagement, just like at the top Indian colleges. The student community is incredibly diverse, with students from all over the country, creating a vibrant environment. This diversity helps you meet new people, learn about various cultures, and build lifelong friendships, improving your social and communication skills. The faculty are supportive and well-behaved, fostering a positive atmosphere. They don’t force you to study excessively or blindly follow instructions, instead guiding you to explore your interests and learn at your own pace. This college offers a perfect blend of excellent infrastructure, vibrant student life, and supportive faculty.

What I Liked

The infrastructure of the college is excellent, with all the necessary facilities available. Clubs and societies thrive here, just like in top Indian colleges. Students from all over the country come here, creating an excellent environment and exposure. You get to meet many people and develop your social and communication skills. The teachers are well-behaved and don’t force you to study excessively or always follow their instructions. The hostels are very well built, with bathrooms and corridors cleaned twice daily. The mess food is also pretty good. It's not like how the movies portray it; the food is well-cooked. Some students find it less spicy or sweet, likely because most chefs are Punjabis who use fewer spices than those from Eastern states or Delhi.

What I Liked

What I Liked

ROI of this college is quite good like in 4-5 Lakhs you can attain good well placement
The Environment here is very good like greenery, trees nice fresh air

What I didn’t like

Mess food sometimes becomes the biggest drawback of this college
Also hygiene may become problem to some

Campus Life:

Yeah, I'm a hosteller and I pay around 110000 inr including gym, mess, study room, etc. Electricity bill is excluded from this. Also, there are eight clubs in the college. Two important cultural fests are LARIVARTA6 and FRESHERS. Along with that graduation ceremony and farewell are also organised. Also, hackathons are conducted regularly to enhance coding skills. Sports as a development parameter is also entertained here regular trials are taken
