Government Engineering College (GECT) is one of the highly reputable institutions in Kerala affiliated to the University of Calicut and APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and has been recognized by AICTE, NBA and COA. The college was ranked 164 in the Engineering category by NIRF.

GEC Thrissur has shown magnificent placement records in the past years. A total of 464 offers were made in the year 2020 and 422 in the year 2021. All the placement activities had to be shifted online due to the pandemic. Here are some of the highlights:

Students of GEC Thrissur can avail financial assistance in the form of scholarships. Some of them are listed as follows:
