Kalam Institute of Technology is a 15 years old college, established in 2008. It is a private college approved by AICTE and is affiliated to BPUT Rourkela. The college provides opportunities for the students to learn various UG and PG courses. It offers UG courses such as B.Tech, and PG courses such as MBA. Admission to the college is granted on the basis of OJEE/ AIEEE whereas admission to the PG program in MBA is based on the guidelines set by the government of Orissa and Biju Patnaik University of Technology.

KIT Ganjam offers B.Tech in different fields such as Civil engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Information Technology. The total course fee for B.Tech is INR 212,000.
