TKMCE Kollam UG Admission 2026

B.Tech Eligibility

UG Application and Admission Process

For B.Tech, register for KEAM and complete the online application through CEE Kerala. The application instructions include online submission or a Demand Draft, and a printed copy of the completed form must reach DTE, Thiruvananthapuram. The application fee is INR 1000 for General applicants and INR 500 for SC/ST applicants.

B.Arch applicants must take NATA and apply through the official TKMCE website. NATA aspirants do not have centralized counselling under this admission procedure, so qualified students must report directly to the college.

A Student's Admission and Academic Experience

Goutham Krishna R, a B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering student, says his KEAM rank would have secured a merit seat in other branches but was insufficient for CSE. He therefore joined CSE through the management quota.

His experience with the faculty was mixed. He found some teachers capable, friendly and supportive, while others had subject knowledge but were less effective at teaching. He describes each six-month semester as having two internal, or series, examinations and one university examination at the end. Attendance, assignments and series examinations contribute to internal marks out of 50. The university examination carries 100 marks, making a combined total of 150 for the final grade under the Semester Grade Point Average, or SGPA, system.
