GGDSD is one of the best colleges for commerce in Chandigarh and everyone wants to get admission in this college. It is also an old college so the reputation of the college is really very nice. The process of admission does not carry any interviews or group discussions. It is simple you have to apply for admission under PUCHD site and select your preferences and the colleges will be allotted based on the percentages you got in 12th

The college follows the NEP as of 2024, and provides a honors with research option which is an integrated course. Its the top college of Chandigarh. Attendance is lenient, faculty is good and cooperative. The bad aspect is only the fine system in case of low attendance but that ofcourse can be managed.

I chose GGDSD College, Chandigarh because, the college is known for offering a balanced mix of academics and extracurricular activities, which I found very appealing. The infrastructure, including well-equipped labs, a library, and modern classrooms, was also a major factor in my decision. Additionally, the placement opportunities and various student-led initiatives made it a promising choice for holistic development. The admission process was quite straightforward. For my course, admission was based on merit, considering the marks from the qualifying examination. There was no requirement for group discussions, personal interviews, or written tests for my program, though some courses at the college may have additional selection criteria. To prepare for admission, I focused on maintaining a strong academic record and staying informed about the admission timelines and requirements through the college’s official website.

I personally chose this college as it is a high profile school among the other colleges in Chandigarh. This one is near to my house. There many good aspects of this college like there are a number of clubs which is beneficial for every student’s CV or portfolio. There is water and restroom facilities on every floor. With these, there is also bad aspects like the college campus is really small and conjuncted compared to the students and faculty ratio. There isn’t any entrance exam or group discussion or written exam involved for admission. Students are selected on merit basis.

The college is very good, the campus is well maintained with good greenery around campus and the cleanliness of college is very good , hygienic environment and good classes,cleaned washroom and good staff

To be honest this college was my first preference as it is one of the best college in chandigarh.. the selection process was based on your 12th marks and there was no such thing as GD or interview. As a student it was easy for me to fill the registration form with any problem and you just have to wait for the list of students selected.moat of my friends also chose this college as it it very well known for commerce course but I found out that not only this college is best for commerce but also for other streams too.

This college used to select students according to their merits scored in class 12th and class 10th , then they provide lists first list comes between 90-100% , then 85-90% , 80-85% and so on according to this the students enrollment gets started

As such there was no GDPI around for the college selection. It is all based on the percentage that you basically get in your class 12th that is married. Based admission criteria is followed throughout the admission process and there is no difficulty faced while taking the admission, it’s all online process and which you basically follow by filling up the DHE form.

This college is renowned for in commerce study more than any other and is accredited with naac a++ and comes in top colleges which is why I selected this college as it had major in it and a lot of social life things as well

Ranked number 1 college for commerce! Good aspects are- there are several clubs that anyone can join on the basis of interview. Bad aspect is that there are less camera security Got admission on the basis of my 12th percentage
