BIMTECH Admission 2027 is open for the 2 year flagship PGDM batch of 2027-29. Students can apply online at bimtech.ac.in by paying a non-refundable application fee of INR 2,250. BIMTECH has no management quota or direct admission route. Seats are offered only through CAT, XAT, GMAT and CMAT scores, while MAT 2026-27 is also accepted for PGDM Insurance Business Management and PGDM Retail Management.

For the full-time PGDM programmes, BIMTECH offers 300 seats in PGDM with 45 supernumerary seats, and 60 seats each in PGDM IB, PGDM IBM and PGDM RM. The full-course tuition fee is 14 lakh. Hostel charges of 3.3 lakh and mess charges of 1.7 lakh for two years are paid separately because all programmes are residential.

BIMTECH also runs the doctoral-level Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), the Executive Fellow Programme in Management for working professionals, and a 2 year Online PGDM offered at roughly one-tenth of the cost.

BIMTECH PGDM Admission 2027

PGDM is BIMTECH's biggest full-time programme, with 300 merit seats and 45 supernumerary seats. Students can also choose from these PGDM specialisations:

  • PGDM (International Business)
  • PGDM (Insurance Business Management)
  • PGDM (Retail Management)

Each of these three specialisations has 60 seats. Supernumerary seats are not offered in these three programmes.

  • BIMTECH does not shortlist students only by entrance percentile. It also checks the past academic record.
  • Only students who clear the shortlisting stage move to the next admission round.
  • MAT scores are accepted only for PGDM Insurance Business Management and PGDM Retail Management.

BIMTECH PGDM Eligibility Criteria 2027

BIMTECH does not conduct its own entrance exam for PGDM admission. A student must have a bachelor's degree of at least three years with 50% marks.

For Class 10 and Class 12 marks, BIMTECH counts the aggregate of all subjects, including optional subjects. A board-based best-of-five score should not be entered if the student studied more subjects.

Which entrance exam should you choose for BIMTECH Admission 2027?

BIMTECH accepts more than one entrance score and uses the best valid score before making the final offer. However, the Late Basant Kumar Birla Admission Merit Scholarship is based only on CAT or XAT percentiles and can be worth up to INR 5 lakh. CMAT or MAT can help a student get admission, but not this scholarship.

Most applicants can plan their test choices this way:

  • CAT 2026 can be the main exam because it is accepted by many schools and also works for the scholarship route.
  • XAT 2027 gives another chance after CAT and is also counted for scholarship eligibility.

Important Selection Rules:

  • Students graduating from NIRF top 100 institutes get extra weightage.
  • To claim regional diversity weightage, students need a valid domicile certificate, passport or Aadhaar proof.
  • Work experience is counted only when it is in an executive or supervisory role.
  • The work role must be for at least one year on the cut-off date.
  • The employer must be a registered company with turnover of INR 10 crore or more in FY 2025-26.
  • BIMTECH management may relax the work experience rule for startup founders.
  • After the entrance result is declared, students must upload their percentile.
  • BIMTECH does not release an official cutoff percentile. Its merit scholarship begins at 85 percentile in CAT or XAT.

A student with 78 percentile, a strong interview, an engineering degree, valid work experience and a non-NCR background can score higher in the composite process than a student with 90 percentile but none of these profile points.

Withdrawal and refund. As per AICTE guidelines, if a student withdraws before the programme starts and the seat is filled by a waitlisted student, the full fee is refunded after a deduction of INR 1,000.

If a student leaves after the course starts and the seat is not filled, only the refundable part is returned. The application fee is never refunded.

BIMTECH Online PGDM Admission 2027

BIMTECH Online PGDM is the only programme here that does not need an entrance exam. It is offered through the Centre for Online Studies and is meant for working professionals. Admission is open on a rolling basis through the online admission portal.
