Read Full ReviewThe placemnents scenario right now is not going good. I think because the market is down . The management of the college has changed recently so it’s difficult for them too to get good placements as the previous management was there for a long time. The eligibility criteria for placements are on the basis of your CGPA in college. If you get 7+ cgpa you are mostly safe for all the companies to shortlist you. The campnies that visited the campus for our seniors placements are EY, WIPRO, KPMG, OXANE, MARSH, VOLVO, UNIQULO, MINISO, SBI, TATA AIG, DELOITTLE, HDFC, BLACK ROCK and others. They all offer a package of around 8-9 lakhs per annum. Except of BLACK ROCK, which offers around 20 lakhs per annum. For marketing role the campies are great, for finance there are less companies and HR has very less companies coming for placements. I would say the insurance and Retail management program of our college are the best out of the four programs offered. My plans are to get a placement.
I didn’t had a good score in CAT. i chose this college through CMAT and got International Business programme. The cut off for CMAT exam for International Business is 90%. I cleared the cutoff and then got a Interview call. The questions for internview verr basic HR questions from my CV and then a extempore topic related to Labour Laws. After joining the college, I had a good one month. However it was very hectic as an MBA programme would be..but we had an amazing experience for the first trimester. Then it got a little bad for me and others too. The reality of placements and internships is too harsh. There are no internships as such available..little companies come and they take around 2-3 students only and it’s very difficult to find a spot for you.

CAT scoring and interview are required to join the college. I had no other options as I decided to join MBA in the end of June 2023. So, BIMTECH was offering PGDM course for my CAT and I joined it and it was one of the best step.

I had chosen this college because of the reputation that Birla Institute had. Also, I heard of campus facilities like food and green campus and good facilities and for admission, I had an interview, and on that basis, I was given an offer from the college, for the interview round there are basic questions like Introduce yourself, Your Interest and hobbies and they check your general knowledge and confidence and prepare for why do you want to join this college.

The reason for choosing this college was that it was close to my city plus the placements were quite good and choosing other colleges in the same category would be more costly that's why I preferred this college.

As I am interested in the insurance business I chose this college as it is one of the best in the country for this particular course. You can try for admission to this course using the score you got in any of the following exams CAT, MAT, CMAT, GMAT. After the application, they will assess your academic profile and everything related and then select your profile for an interview if it is good enough. For an interview, you need to have General knowledge and a little knowledge of the insurance industry as well. They will also test your knowledge of the basics of your graduation subjects.

BIMTECH offers PGDM in insurance that helped me in making a choice. Insurance is the next big game in the industry and so I chose it as a subject. Back in 2022, I directly faced a PI round which was online at that time because of COVID. The CAT cutoff was 72.5 percentile for PGDM. Apart from CAT, XAT, MAT & CMAT exam results are also considered in the admission process and the cutoffs for XAT is 72.5 percentile and 80 percentile for MAT & CMAT. I gave mock interviews for clearing PI round.
