IMS Kolkata offers admission to full-time UG, PG, and Doctoral programs in Management, Healthcare, Media Studies, Humanities, and Computer Application. It offers UG courses such as BBA/ BBA-HM/ BCA and BTTM and PG courses such as MHA, MBA, and PGDM.

• BTTM, BBA (HM)., and BBA Admission at the undergraduate level are done on the basis of merit in the qualifying exam. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed the higher secondary or 10+2 in the relevant stream with English as a compulsory language from a recognized board with at least 40% marks in the particular subject.
• BCA Admission will be done on the basis of merit depending on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. To be eligible for admission, candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary (10 + 2) exam with Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Computer Application/ Information Practices/ Statistics or equivalent examination from any recognized Board.
• Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of a valid rank cum allotment card of the Common Entrance Test conducted by MAKAUT (Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology) ie, MAKAUT CET
• MHA / MBA Admission at IMS Kolkata depends on valid MAT / CAT / CMAT /JEMAT scores or its equivalent national/ state examination including their academic performance and their score in the personal interview round. The minimum eligibility requirement for an MBA/ MHA is Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with English as a compulsory language from a recognized University.
• Ph.D. admissions are based on the candidate's score in the IMS entrance test followed by a personal interview round conducted by the University. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the previous Master’s / M.Phil degree to be eligible for admission.
