Life Of Velammalian Madurai

What I Liked

onething i like in this college is , easy transportation , since it was small sized college we dont want to suffer for long travel unlike other colleges
they always try to make the sudents as professionals

What I didn’t like

i dislike this college , cause it was boring . it was like grinding samething everyday
only front side of college looks big , backside it was nothing . it was small college

Placement Experience:

The placements were good and decent for this college. if we have a CGPA of more then 8 or 8.5 we are eligible for all companies. some companies will ask history of arrears and current arrears. highest package is 9.5LPA and the lowest is around 1.5LPA. mostly all students will get placed. but last two years it was like 60 to 70 percent.

Remarks:

No, I didn't attend any admission test for this college. I came with my 12th marks. since I was living in Madurai, it was a good college in Madurai surroundings. it was a good college for placements and self-learning. here all will in only CGPA motive, when comes to 3rd-year placements will come and recruit. last 2 years placements were slightly down.

Course Curriculum Overview:

By my father's suggestion, I joined this college. Best College In Madurai for Good Teaching and Placement. Placements: Total of 40 Students in a class. The highest Package was 20 LPA. The package was 5 LPA. The lowest Package was 3 LPA. Top Companies are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, L&T. 80% per cent of students got the internship. The top roles offered are Site Engineer, Project Manager, and Building Designer. Infrastructure: Total of 6 Different courses are offered. Each course has separate department and laboratory facilities. Excellent Canteen with good food and service. Affordable hostel facilities. Playground for different sports and a spacious parking lot. Bus transport is also available. Faculty: Teachers are very experienced and friendly. Course curriculum of Anna University. Semester exams are in the best way possible to test the knowledge of students. The pass percentage is 95. Students are trained in a highly qualified education system and trained to be placed in Best Companies.

Many companies visit our campus for placements. The highest salary package offered is 3.7 LPA. The average salary offered is Rs. 20,000 per month. The lowest salary offered is Rs.16,000 per month. If students are good in academics, our college will allow them to do internships. From the 7th semester, students with and above 7.5 CGPA and no arrears are eligible for placements. Many students got placed in companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho, and Amazon. Infrastructure: The hostel provides facilities like well-sophisticated rooms, heaters, generators, fans, lights, and separate cots. The restrooms are clean. The hostel rooms are clean every day. The food is very good and hygienic. Laboratories are good.

A honest report of VCET

What I Liked

The main thing I likes about my college is that we can see the entire college from any one end, because our college campus got one building for college and two buildings for school.
When you entered your final sem you will free as you can leave the college anytime you want.

What I didn’t like

There is no proper maintenance of ground for sports. And no proper training is given to the players and athletes.
Faculties won't support you even if don't do anything wrong.You should wear formal shoes during your entire time in college.

Placement Experience:

Due to the recession, the placement is ok in our college. The majority of us got placed at least with a packaged company. But if you have something inside you, don't worry you will be placed with a minimum of 3 lpa. There is no way to get placed in a core company except mech, it, cs. Because the majority of the companies that we attended are related or mech a background.

Remarks:

I joined this college because some of my relatives suggested that this is one of the best colleges in Madurai. There is no test for getting admission to this college. We just need to apply for engineering counseling conducted by Tnea. If the cut-off we secured is enough then surely the seat is ours.

What I Liked

There is not a single thing here to make you feel good or relaxed.Its like the college has negative vibration in it every time I enter
Placements are the only thing that is good about this college

What I didn’t like

It is too small and simple infrastructure.The whole college has only one block.
Faculties are highly professional.Could able to see superiority of them over school teachers

Placement Experience:

Velammal in 2021 had placements for students for about 91%. But in recent times it had dropped, due to the corona lockdown backlash. But it will rise the placement opportunities. For Zoho, Accenture,hcl, a Minimum of 7 cgpa is required But based on a few companies it is 8cgpa for attending placement. The average pack is 4-9LPA. The highest pack is 20LPA.

Remarks:

As my percentage had been low. I had to go to management quota. Velammal was the cheapest and best option. Placement is the major factor for me to join Velammal Engineering College as it produced good placements in recent times.
