Shoolini University uses SU-SAT, or the Shoolini University Scholarship and Aptitude Test, for admission to many programmes. The 2026 admission round is over, and the next intake is expected to start with SU-SAT 2027.

The B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Tech Food Technology courses combine engineering study with lab work and research training. The B.Des course covers product design, visual communication, and user experience, and connects with the university's research collaboration network.

Shoolini University Admission Process

Shoolini University admits students through SU-SAT, national entrance scores, and direct merit, depending on the course. SU-SAT scores are also used for merit scholarships during admission.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, students need 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 45% aggregate in PCM.

B.Tech has 14 specialisations. CSE and the AI, Data Science, and Cyber Security group see high demand. Civil Engineering is the lowest-fee B.Tech option, costing INR 8.34 Lakhs for 4 years.

MBA Admission

MBA applicants must hold a graduation degree with at least 50% aggregate marks.

Shoolini MBA has a 95% placement rate and an average package of INR 12 LPA. CAT or XAT scores above 70 percentile are generally competitive for direct admission.

B.Pharm Admission

B.Pharm applicants need 10+2 with PCB or PCM and at least 45% aggregate. Admission is based on NEET UG, JEE Main, or SU-SAT scores. The course is a major programme at Shoolini and is supported by the university's NIRF Pharmacy rank of 44 in 2025. M.Pharm admission needs B.Pharm with 50% and a valid GPAT score.

B.Des Admission

For B.Des, students from any stream can apply after 10+2 with at least 50% aggregate. Selection is through NID Entrance Exam, UCEED score, or a SU-SAT portfolio-based assessment. The 4-year B.Des programme is among the few design courses in Himachal Pradesh offered by a NAAC-accredited university.

Law Programmes (BA LLB and BBA LLB)

BA LLB and BBA LLB are 5-year integrated courses. Students need 10+2 with at least 45% aggregate and can apply through CLAT, LSAT India, or SU-SAT. For the 3-year lateral LLB, graduation with 45% is required.

BCA, BBA, and B.Com Admission

For BCA, BBA, and B.Com, students need 10+2 from a recognised board with at least 45% aggregate. Admission is usually through SU-SAT or direct merit based on board marks. BBA in Aviation and BBA in Banking, Financial Services and Insurance each have module fees of INR 7.70 Lakhs because of their industry-linked course structure.

Shoolini University Placements

Shoolini University's 2025 placement season had a highest package of INR 42 LPA for B.Tech CSE. The MBA average package was INR 12 LPA, with a 95% placement rate for the 2026 passing batch. Among 967 graduating students in 2025, 523 students were placed and 218 students moved to higher studies. The university generated more than 5,000 job opportunities in the 2024-25 academic cycle.

Shoolini University Scholarships

Shoolini University provides 500-plus scholarships across merit, need-based, sports, and special-category groups. Tuition fee waivers can range from 10% to 100%. Since scholarship evaluation is linked with SU-SAT, eligible students receive scholarship offers during admission.

Shoolini University Campus and Infrastructure

Shoolini University has a 25-acre campus in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, in the lower Himalayan foothills. The campus is built on hilly terrain with terraced academic buildings and residential facilities.

Separate boys and girls hostels are available on campus. Hostel fees range from INR 1.44 Lakhs to INR 2.11 Lakhs per year, based on room type.
