For regular admission, students must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. They also need a valid JEE Main or OJEE, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination, score. The nine available branches are Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production Engineering, and Metallurgy and Material Engineering. Each branch has between 30 and 120 seats.

Lateral entry applicants must hold an engineering diploma and appear for OJEE. Successful applicants join the second year directly. The same engineering branches are offered under this route, but fewer seats are available.

Students begin the process on the PMEC website at pmec.ac.in or through the OJEE portal. The application requires the JEE Main or OJEE scorecard, identity proof such as Aadhaar, a migration certificate and photographs. Regular applicants must also provide their 10+2 marksheet, while lateral entry applicants submit their diploma certificate. PMEC M.Tech Admissions

The M.Tech programme at PMEC runs for 2 years. Applicants must have a BE or B.Tech degree in a related field. Admission is decided through GATE, the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, or OJEE. A valid GATE score receives preference, although PMEC also accepts OJEE scores.
