At the postgraduate level, M.Tech students may study Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Power System Engineering or Structural Engineering. These options cover both computing and core engineering fields.

JDCOEM Admission Process

Programme admission is based on academic eligibility, the applicable entrance examination and the relevant DTE Maharashtra CAP rounds. Applicants must register online, complete document checks and enter their course preferences before seats are allotted.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech admission, students must take JEE Main or MHT-CET and join the DTE Maharashtra Centralised Admission Process.

B.Tech applicants must meet these conditions:

  • Pass Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics
  • Obtain at least 45% aggregate in PCM, or 40% for reserved categories
  • Hold a valid JEE Main or MHT-CET score

The process starts with online registration on the DTE portal. Students then complete document verification at a Facilitation Centre, submit their preferences online and take part in multiple seat-allotment rounds. After receiving a seat, they must pay the required fee and report to JDCOEM to confirm admission.

Recent-cycle information places the typical General-category MHT-CET closing level for CSE at 75 to 85 percentile. Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering generally close at lower percentiles.

Diploma in Engineering Admission

Engineering diploma seats are allotted through DTE Maharashtra CAP on the basis of SSC percentage. Applicants must have passed Class 10 from a recognised board and apply through the MSBTE-linked portal. Diploma holders with at least 45% may seek lateral entry into the second year of B.Tech.

MBA, MCA, and M.Tech Admission

MBA applicants need a recognised university degree in any discipline and a valid CAT, MAT or MAH-MBA-CET score. MCA selection accepts MAH-MCA-CET or NIMCET. For M.Tech, applicants must qualify through GATE or MAH-M.Tech-CET in the relevant subject. DTE Maharashtra conducts the PG CAP rounds each year between May and July.

JDCOEM Placements

CSE and IT account for much of JDCOEM's placement activity. According to the college's NIRF 2024 submission, 324 UG graduates secured placements at an average salary of INR 3.80 LPA. JDCOEM separately reports an all-time highest offer of INR 63 LPA and participation from 90+ recruiting companies each year.

Note: The INR 3.80 LPA UG average comes from placement information submitted for NIRF 2024. JDCOEM reports higher average packages for some recent batches. Students should ask the college placement cell for the latest batch-wise results before applying.

Recruiters named by JDCOEM include Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Capgemini and HCL Technologies. These employers have recruited students from the CSE and IT streams. The placement cell supports both campus recruitment drives and off-campus referral opportunities.
