My College Journey: The Good, The Great and Everything in between

What I Liked

The Campus is located deep within the walls of St.Joseph’s College, so it is Peaceful, silent and gives a fresh feeling. We are also give placement training training us for Aptitude tests, Group Discussions and Interview
Some of the faculty have industry experience and hence they are able to provide us their industry knowledge and how to work in a corporate culture

What I didn’t like

For placements , If a student is placed in one company he/she isn’t allowed to attend the interviews of the other companies that visit our campus for placements
Student life can be quite hectic, because of the timing it is 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, we would return home really tired

Placement Experience:

There are various companies that are brought along for Internships as well as Campus Placement. And some students even get pre-placement offers from the companies they do their Internships. I was offered Pre placement from the company I did my Internship

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are brought either directly or through alumni’s of the college. Every student is given an opportunity to complete their internship from the companies that reach purchase campus. Students are picked for Internship by the companies through a basic Interview process by the companies. Students can also get a Bonafide Certificate from the college and find internship opportunities on their own. The internship duration would be 2 months and the students are required to submit a Internship Report at the end.

What I Liked

The college infrastructure are good and their faculty are best.
The campus life are good part of life and memories

The college should improve the more campus

Placement Experience:

The college placements are good at their functions, the placement from Wipro, amazing, TCS, and many top most company's, to eligibility of placement to secure more than 60 percentage of marks, I had decided to study pg.

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, I have opened for an internship from our college with a company Web development process. They have help with the project works for students, the St Joseph's College project is very helpful for many more pg studies or companies.

Life at Joseph

What I Liked

College has good discipline and has good friendship atmosphere.
Life at this campus is really wonderful and memorablem

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure are really old nd outdated as it is 180 years old college nd lack free wifi facilities for students
College is really strict in maintaining attendance for students and staffs, strict action will be taken for long absentees.

Placement Experience:

Placement is very good and not more at the expected level and salary packages are at normal level, local and some big companies will visit college for placement and sir will be really at a lower level and companies like TCS, Wipro, etc.. salary packages from 2 LPA to 3.5 LPA

Internships Opportunities:

Yes, internships are compulsory in college during the academic year and viva will be conducted and it has internal marks. Students choose their own companies to attend internship training for the period of a minimum of one month.

The Wonderful phase of my life!

What I Liked

The college has Excellent Infrastructure facility.
The staffs are the plus points of this college.

What I didn’t like

They need to improve the Hostels in required facilities such as Bathrooms, Stay rooms, and Dinning facilities. The food is good but the place of serving and Servers need to be Changed.
Drinking water Papers can be clean regularly around the college.

Placement Experience:

The placements are provided for each department separately. The eligibility is varies from each department. The common eligibility is Communication, aptitude test, Group Discussion. The companies which are Omega Health care, Tamilnadu Mercantile Bank, ICICI prudential Life insurance bank, are the few companies which I have attended for interview. There are more than 30 companies are conducted campus interviews in last year. The highest average salary is 2.5 lac per annum. The highest salary package is 12 lac per annum. Among the students who are attending the campu interviews 60 to 70 percentage of students have been selected. I am selected by Omega health care. I going to join in that company and Build up Career.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship and Project are the curriculum activities in this College. I have completed my internship in Tulip Creations, Tirupur. I learned each and every department in the company totally 4 weeks, I have worked and got knowledge from the each department of the company. And we have conducted a project on the topic of Influence of technological development in college students creativity level at Tiruchirapalli City. With the team of six members, we have collected the data from 10 colleges around Tiruchirapalli City area. We have collected around 260 samples and analysed the samples to conclude our objectives using SPSS with the help of our staff Guide Mr. P. Vijaya kumar sir.

What I Liked

The very big library with computer systems with internet and having more than 50 thousand books Campus Life would be awesome in all aspects
Faculty is very well knowledgeable persons and always having helping mind .

Placement Experience:

Very good placements. Big companies like TCS, Deloitte, Wipro and etc..coming every year for placement. Placement training also they providing and helping students to get trained in latest skill and communication skills. Every year 1000+ students get placement. The students selected for the packages from 2 LPA to 15 LPA I planned for become an IT employee I got selected in TCS while doing my 5th semester.

Internships Opportunities:

Internship is must for complete the degree in this college . That could be dicided by students with their own intrest according to there department. Department staffs also giving guidance and arranging for the internships and project kind of activities.

About my college

Placement Experience:

Placement and job provided in our college is good better far than other our senior say, there is separate respect for those who studies in our college in IT companies like Wipro, TCS, Asian paints and need development

Internship that is provided is very good that many big IT field company comes to our college for internship, like skill vertex , academor, skill development and LinkedIn company have gave premium pass for our students in our college for many students and etc..
