Bharathidasan University is inviting applications for PhD Admission 2025 in multiple specializations. Candidates can apply online through the University’s official website before January 31, 2025. Selection will be based on the PhD Entrance test and Interview.

Bharathidasan University PhD Eligibility

• Candidates must have a Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 55% marks.
• A 5% relaxation of marks is provided to candidates belonging to the SC / ST Category.
• Candidates in the final year of the PG Programme may also apply.
• Students will be admitted based on their performance in written tests and Interviews.
• Students who secure 50% marks in the entrance test will be called for an interview.
• The selection will be based on the following weightage:
  • Written Test- 70%
  • Interview- 30%

• The Online Test will consist of 50 MCQs of 2 marks each.
• The questions will be based on research aptitude, concept, intellectual ability, and PG subject.
• There is no negative mark for the wrong answers.
• PhD Entrance Exam will be based on Bharathidasan University PG Curriculum.
• A relaxation of 5% marks will be allowed in the entrance examinations for the candidates belonging to the BC/MBC/DNC/SC/ST/PwD category.
• The e-Certificate will be issued by the University with a validity of 5 years for the qualified candidates. Students are permitted to get Registered for PhD programmes in the University Departments, Affiliated Colleges and other Approved Research Centres of Bharathidasan University within that duration.
