IDE University of Madras UG Admissions

This institute provides distance undergraduate courses in the stream of Arts and Humanities, Commerce, Science, Information Technology, Management, and Performing Arts, such as BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBA, and Bachelor of Literature in Tamil (BLit in Tamil). All of these programs have a three-year course duration.

 It is important to note that admission to UG courses is based on merits and first-cum-first-serve basis.

Eligibility-

• For being eligible for the BA courses the candidate must be a class 12th pass from a recognized board.
• For being eligible for the B.com( Commerce, Banking Management, Corporate Secretaryship, Computer Applications) course the candidate must be a class 12th pass from a recognized board.
• For being eligible for the B.com (Lateral entry) A Pass in a three-year Diploma in Commercial Practices/ Modern Office Practices conducted by the DOTE or equivalent is required.
• For being eligible for the B.Sc courses the candidate must be a class 12th pass from a recognized board.
• For being eligible for the BBA, BLit (Tamil), and BCA, the candidate must be a class 12th pass from a recognized board.
• For being eligible for the BCA (Lateral Entry) A Pass in a three-year Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Technology/ Information Technology/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering or equivalent is required.

Selection criteria-

• The university will choose students based on their performance on an entrance exam.
• Candidates for B.Lit will be chosen based on their performance in the previous qualifying exam.

IDE University of Madras PG Admission

At the PG level, the university offers courses - M.A, M.Sc, M.Com, MBA, and MCA MBA programs are available in six different specializations and three different types: general, integrated, and executive. the duration of all the courses is 2 years and is provided on a full-time basis.

Eligibility-

• To be eligible for any PG program, students must have graduated from a recognized university with a bachelor's degree in relevant subjects
• Graduation with a 50 percent aggregate in any subject (45 percent for SC/ ST category) or three years of managerial/supervisory experience following graduation in any subject.
• To be eligible for MCA applicants must have completed a BCA or B.Sc in Computer Science with Mathematics as a compulsory subject at the 10+2 level or the graduate level.
• For EX-MBA candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any area from a recognized university and at least three years of experience as a manager, executive, or supervisor.

Selection Process-

• To be selected for an MBA program, candidates must take the CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT exam and score higher than the minimum cutoff score.
• For the MCA program admission, the University of Madra conducts an entrance exam.

IDE University of Madras Diploma & PG Diploma Admissions

The University of Madras Institute of Distance Education prepares students for a variety of industry-ready opportunities by offering a variety of short-term distance learning courses, including a diploma in 15, a PG Diploma in seven, and a certificate program in eight specializations.

All of these courses are offered in both full-time and part-time formats.

Eligibility-

• To be eligible for diploma courses candidate must be a 12th-class pass from a recognized board.
• To be eligible for the postgraduate diploma course candidate must have completed their graduation degree from a recognized university
• To be eligible for the certificate course Candidate must have passed Class 12 from a recognized board.

Selection criteria-

• Selection will be granted based on secured merit in the last qualifying examination.
• The final admissions decision is made on a first-come, first-served basis.

IDE University of Madras Application Process

• Candidates can apply through both online and offline modes.
• For every course, candidates need to pay application fees, information regarding the application fees for each course is given below-

For online mode, the following steps are needed to be followed-

1.  Visit the official website
2. Register through the admission portal
3. Choose the course you want to take and fill out the application form with all of the necessary information.
4. Use online Net Banking or a debit/credit card to submit the application form, together with the needed documents and the application cost.

For offline mode, the following steps are needed to be followed-

1. Students can get an application form by going to the college campus and paying INR 200 for it.
2. Fill out the application form with all of your academic and personal information, as well as the course you want to take.
3. Submit the application form together with the required documentation.
