VIMS in short

What I Liked

Faculties are well qualified and experienced and take much interest in their respective subjects
Infrastructure of hostel is good and campus is clean and green

What I didn’t like

Practical equipments are outdated and don't work at all
Gym is very poorly maintained no plates no dumbbells no barbells please do something regarding it😡😡

Placement Experience:

Internship is provided in the college itself after passing final year university exams Stipend is given 30000 per month for 12 months duration of internship We get to learn a lot about different subjects in internship

Internships Opportunities:

No I haven't opted for any internship as college life itself is very busy and exhausting and intership is provided only after completing the 4 years of mbbs course until then you have no job to do as a medical student

VIMS MEDICAL COLLEGE

What I Liked

Our college has a lovely campus and surrounding
In studies great admiring teaching staff, which is experienced and talented
Patient numbers are insane which will allow us to get a lot more clearlity about the concept.

What I didn’t like

Noting much to dislike but i think some areas can be improved like efficient management of patients
In sport's our college is a bit below as compared to other private colleges

Placement Experience:

After completing course most of the graduated student's appear for pg exams that is NEET PG and again go through councling to get into PG college Among 200 students at least 50 to 100 students get PG seats and remaining once do their jobs in clinics As of now I'm also thing of getting NEET pg exam cleared and pursue my future studies.

Internships Opportunities:

Our college has its own hospital? each and every student has to do a complete of 365 days intership as ot is with every government college. We have departments eg surgery, medicine, pediatrics , OBG etc and every student is posted in respective departments for at least 1 month. Till the completion of internship.

Good academics but dull college life

What I Liked

Faculty is excellent and well experienced
Library is one of the main attractions with thousands of books.

What I didn’t like

Very poor infrastructure with old buildings and instruments.
Campus is very big it takes time to travel between departments

Placement Experience:

Since you are going to study mbbs here there is no such thing as campus placement and there is 100% job opportunities after you finish your degree. Many Students here plan to study pg rather going for job

Internships Opportunities:

There is compulsory internship for 1 year after you complete 4.5 years of mbbs. There is stipend of rupees 30000 per month is given during the internship period to the house surgeons . There is adequate clinical exposure during internship

What I Liked

Campus is good and even teachers also all the facilities are good
Infrastructure is also good and everything is good even food also

What I didn’t like

Ragging is the thing I felt bad andd some teachers are not good
Some of the teachers are not tht much well in teaching

Placement Experience:

Every one should do internship in this phase u get descent amount of 30k..after internship u have to look for jobs in private hospital r phc's in the rural..otherwise prepare for pg and get a seat and get a good salary

Internships Opportunities:

No internship in other hospitals..u have to work in our hospital and it is compulsory after internship u have to go for private hospital r go for pg exam or open your own clinic or give visit to other hospital

What I Liked

Some how it's a good college compared to other government college in Karnataka since it have big campus with good environment in case of study or other things
Yearly 2-3 festival will be conducted in the academic session this will improve creativity among students with study Good infrastructure faculty will be provided in this institution

What I didn’t like

Since Bellary is called as Steel City of India since it have worst environment In summer their will 45°+ temperature seen in Bellary since very hard to serv in that condition
Faculty number nowadays decrease with time All the faculty coming on contract based With less experience

Placement Experience:

No placements will be thair in medical colleges But 1 year compulsory Intership will be there You will get monthly stipend in intership Nearly 30 thousand per month It will be credited in 3 instalment After intership you will practice any where you get opportunity Or else you will prepare for NEET PG exam

Internships Opportunities:

Their will be one year compulsory Intership will be provided by college With stipend by government Opted in different departments for months and weeks where you need to give your service And get experience of every subject

What I Liked

Campus is so big that's why it's less crowded
Having a good friend circle make your journey memorable

What I didn’t like

Most of the department buildings are old
Poor use technology for classroom and labs

Placement Experience:

One year of internship is already includes in the degree programme and college provides stipend of ?30,000/month during internship Internship is quite hectic as the patient count is high for the hospital

Internships Opportunities:

Currently I am studying in 3rd year of MBBS we'll have our internship after out final year for now we have clinical postings for 3 hrs daily Karnataka government provide a good amount of stipend to the MBBS interns

The ideal medical College in present world

What I Liked

Faculty are best in the state . Each department have more than 10+ teachers or professors which makes the vast number of students to get advice from their teachers
Campus is also good without very least stress because of the college ambience.

What I didn’t like

Infrastructure is very good with good classrooms and digital Teaching which helps in wider reach

Placement Experience:

The job opportunities is internship which the students are elligible after completing 4 years at the college. The college do pay at the time of internship which is around 30-35000 per month for their work in the college hospital. With the internship knowledge, experience , expertise the students or PG can thrive in their future studies like MS , MD etc

Internships Opportunities:

The college does provide intership opportunities for the students which is the best opportunity to treat the patients at the college hospital and earn their money which helps them to self dependent. The internship students do assist the superior doctors in various case studies and surgeries. the workshops are available for building the skillset of the students.

What I Liked

See as I had said before the infrastructure of this college is one of the best I'm the region so no complaints about it.
Faculty is best in the region as i have friends in other colleges as well and they do appreciate the teachers here.

What I didn’t like

Disliking something here is difficult but the hot climate of the city is a turn off
The city has little social life and has least amount of malls and other amenities other than that there are no problems.

Placement Experience:

See after getting mbbs you should not think of job opportunities there is always a shortage of doctors across the globe so you'll get placements. Anyways they will be placed in a housemanship program where they are paid well.

Internships Opportunities:

Everyone has to do a compulsory internship program for a year in the medical college hospital across all the departments and they are paid well so every doctor must pass through this program which is an experience for life.

No. According to my seniors and all the staff there working in the hospital vims is a great institution to study at bcs of a lot of patients come with a lot of ailments and it will be a great experience to feel it
