Too good for mbbs

What I Liked

It's academic studies is too good that you make a good doctor
Patient flow is too high therefore in internship is going to be too god

What I didn’t like

It's have a small ground for sports like football, cricket
It's have a less water supply as a purifier less availablity

Placement Experience:

This is a government college with its own government hospital so all the students will take a internship with a salary that is 42000approx and it's placement will depend on your skills and this college is good for making you a good doctor

Remarks:

I will choose this clg because it is too cheaper and we can afford it by crack the neet and get sufficient marks for this college,and here the academic studies will too much good than any other colleges

What I Liked

the campus is malleable with time and tasks.
exposure to people all around the india .

What I didn’t like

less space area for hostel allotment and mess.
basic lack of hygiene in the hostel with no daily duty.

Placement Experience:

after the final year, you will be provided a chance for internship in the same medical College. after internship, you can also apply for house staff while preparing for PG. stipend-32000/- each month.

Remarks:

some of my family members recommended this college to me as the hostel life is good. The food is good. It’s nearby the college. closing rank for this college is around 12,000 AIR. academics here at top of the word Class.

Life at Rg kar medical college.

What I Liked

College infrastructure is very good despite being so old .faculties are really experienced and dedicated .it is a multispeciality hospital so yeah you will get every medical facility here and college buildings are also great with acs and lifts and a huge auditorium and huge lecture theatres.
Campus is not so big but since it is situated in main city ,it has it’s own perks plus the travel is so easy here.it just costs 10 rupees and you can travel 10 kms or any distance by bus in kolkata .the college ,the city is really affordable

What I didn’t like

College as it associated with a hospital and that too with a huge patient load is ofcourse dirty but yeah it’s all manageable.
Campus life is not so good because it’s not that big.neither we have our own ground.but yeah we have a ground nearby where sports activities are performed.

Placement Experience:

You become a Mbbs doctor so placement is obvious and everyone gets placed.either they clear pg entrance or they get settled somewhere.my plan is to get pg degree and then become a full fledged specialist doctor.

Remarks:

Admission is given through neet exam .is you qualify neet exam with a good rank then you may get admission.it is asia’s first private medical college established in 1886 and then made government in 1916. It is a superspeciality hospital and college with more than a century of history. The rank needed to get this college is around 7-8 k which may vary .

What I Liked

The college campus is huge and there's a garden in front of our lecture theater in the Administration Building, there's parking space dedicated for students as well,so it helps ,there's also space to play games like badminton,football and cricket
Campus life is quite happening,we can literally go out and access metro nearby to visit other parts of Kolkata our faculty is super helpful and take care of us at every step,there are too many buildings ,so one may get lost for the first time but as soon as the time progresses you get the idea of the whole campus. Really pretty campus

What I didn’t like

Nothing much to dislike about college,maybe outside the college there aren't many eateries but that doesn't matter since we have at in the college itself
Right now there's not much junior senior engagement due to the anti ragging thing,if it happens in a positive way ,it could be nice to get some insights from them and learn how to cope up with pressure and studies

Placement Experience:

After 4.5 years,we would get internship at the same place ,stipend during internship is 35k per month for now, it'll increase in the near future ,so we could expect it to be at least 40k per month after the internship we can serve any govt hospital or open our clinic,we can also for different pg branches ,they pay good depending on the location of the hospital, average stipend during pg is 70k all over india and 65k at rg kar after pg ,you could easily expect 2 lacs per month from the govt hospital,private practice would elevate that to 5 lacs per month at least

Remarks:

I needed to score good in NEET exam,the cutoff was 660 for UR category students I took Allen institute DLP and prepared for this exam,and also took PW online batch i was preparing for this exam from my home

What I Liked

College is very good . And patient is very good.
My mentor and sir are also very good and help me.

What I didn’t like

My home to college duration is so far 😔.
And campus also good but cantine is not good for my site.

Placement Experience:

The annual festivals ar fresher, fest and various sports event All the type of medical books is available in the library All the sports and extracurricular activities are organised by students so it's very fun There is culture gr, sports gr, and hostel

Remarks:

My college is very good I am very happy to get the college yes group discussion nothing happened.I have to get roughly 32 for my exam. Grandparents helped a lot during admission.I am studying neet but not selected neet and try this.I got selected.

What I Liked

The best part of the college is the library which is quite big.
Campus is pretty descent but your company matters most

What I didn’t like

The rain water drainage system is quite bad

Placement Experience:

You have to attend internship for 1.5 years after completing studies where you get a good amount of stipend..then you can practice as a MBBS doctor or can choose higher studies...which pay you more as a doctor

Remarks:

It is one of prestigious and old medical college of India...it got good facilities and lab resources...I have to pass neet UG examination where I scored 641 to get this college..the cutoff varies not only for categories but also per year

What I Liked

Faculty is great they are very dedicated
Senior junior relationship is very good they are supportive and helpful.

What I didn’t like

I don't like the hostel they provide, it is very unhygienic and conjusted.
I don't like that our campus has no chilling area for girls alone or any playground.

Placement Experience:

We have to clear another entrance examination called NEET pg to get seats for post graduation. But we get to do internship in our hospital only after final year for 1 year which is paid soberly around Rs. 30000 per month.

Remarks:

We have to clear the entrance exam called NEET and get a rank around 11000 to 12000 All India Rank to get admission into this college through West Bengal state counseling that happens online. Then there would be a physical document verification.

What I Liked

I really like the fact that my college is located in the heart of the city. It's connected by bus, auto and metro routes so traveling is very convenient
My college has enough patient inflow for us to learn even the rarest of the rare cases.

What I didn’t like

The total area of the campus is very less. Since there is hospital and college within the same boundary it gets really congested
The hostel rooms are too small for 4 people to share and there are no lifts in the hostel.

Placement Experience:

There is a compulsory 12 months of internship in the same institution. This a paid internship and they are posted in different clinical and non clinical departments to get exposure of different cases prevalent. Placement is not provided in this course.

Remarks:

Admissions are by the counselling process conducted online after the NEET results are declared. Allotment is based on merit and the category the student avails. There is no interview or discussion. I choose this college as it has good patient load which is necessary for the clinical skills and its one of the best in the state.

A little universe of my world

What I Liked

Our college follow course curriculumn very strickly.
We like our campus life very much,fest ,sports etc. Extracurricular activity held very much

What I didn’t like

Our college area is small as compared to other college.
Due to high patient flow our college is always crowdy

Placement Experience:

In our medical college no placement-like concept most of them get a house-staffship in our college some of them get in other hospitals. After passing we get a 50-60k salary per month. Some of the students start preparation for PG entrance.

Remarks:

I cracked the NEET All India entrance exam which was held in May. For admission to my college, you need to rank under 11k air. Then you should do state counselling in West Bengal my college is one of the best colleges in West Bengal.

What I Liked

Faculties are highly educated, campus is very nice, Communication system is very nice because Kolkata Train station is just beside the campus
Library study area most comfortable area ever, hostel at ₹12

What I didn’t like

Unavailability of Playground ,canteen problem
Top floor hostel hot, besides drinking water scarcity, AQI is very high in this area, Patient intolerance is also seen sometimes, Foul smell due to close situation of Morgue

Placement Experience:

All India rank between 9.5k to 13.5k approximately ranges for every year in NEET UG rank. Every year a hundreds of doctors pass out from this college and start practising across all India. Yearly package ranges from 3.8 lakhs to 50 lakhs per annum. Almost cent per cent of students get settled after being doctors, you can appreciate it, right?

Remarks:

It’s a good, large campus, with lots of clinical scenarios and the patient load is also very high which helps in knowing the clinical cases better. Likely for the 2024 academic year, the cut-off score for RG Kar Medical College in the general category will range between 667 to 674 and for other categories, it might be slightly lower. The admission process is very simple with very easy few steps over there. I had taken my college in fourth preference and fortunately, the heaven on the earth, RG Kar Medical College provided me to cherish medical science with the utmost care, empathy and dedication. In the first round, I got RG Kar Medical College and I did not upgrade it because I just loved the first day at my college.
