Admissions are by the counselling process conducted online after the NEET results are declared. Allotment is based on merit and the category the student avails. There is no interview or discussion. I choose this college as it has good patient load which is necessary for the clinical skills and its one of the best in the state.
The course it really hectic there are university exams conducted at the end of every year. They are 4 in total. The course is 4.5years long followed by a compulsory 12months internship in the hospital attached to the medical college. We are also payed a stipend for this internship which varies from state to state.
Yes students can take up extra project under different professors if interested. There are different programs conducted to encourage students for research work the most common being the STS program conducted by the ICMR.
There is a compulsory 12 months of internship in the same institution. This a paid internship and they are posted in different clinical and non clinical departments to get exposure of different cases prevalent. Placement is not provided in this course.
The fees is Rs 4,500 per semester. The admission fee is 6,300. All category students pay the same fee. Admissions are throught NEET conducted by NTA annually. There are financial aids available for students coming from lower economic background these are government funded scholarship programs. There are making private coaching institutes which provide study materials for the entrance exam.
There are various clubs in the institute. Intra and intercollege events are conducted from time to time. There is gymnasium, dance room, music room Available. There are also grounds for those who are interested in sports like cricket badminton and football
Yes I've opted for the hostel provided by the college. There are 4 ladies hostels in total all of which in present within the college campus. Juniors and seniors stay in different hostels. 4 of the students share a room. Bed mattress cupboard and a rack Is provided to every student. The hostel fee is negligible Rs. 12/year. Hostel is alloted to students based on the distance from home to college.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
