Placement and job opportunities in this college is below average it’s not very proficient in opportunities so you have to be self motivated and work for your opportunities by yourself and work hard to achieve

Yes i have done internship in dwarka district court under a lawyer it was a unpaid internship and also it required a lot of research work to be done which included case finding and drafting also it was a great experience

USLLS, The Delhi campus life you dream as a law student

What I Liked

What i like about the college is it’s Campus which is no doubt very beautiful and vibrant, college life is good and event ful, faculties are good, some are exceptional some are below average, i like the opportunity this place provides
The curriculum is interesting, The course in itself is interesting with research and analytical work on law and arts subjects

What I didn’t like

The Faculty could have been better, some faculties are indifferent they do not care to make the students understand rather they will go on completing the syllabus, there are some faculties like that
Since the college is new I won’t complain much, but the administration is not very active, you have to place an active and aware role if you have to get your work done

Placement Experience:

People from this college do fairly well, people are placed in tier 1 firms and all the best places since the college is in Delhi, it provides all the opportunities of the capital city for connections and interactions, People usually go for off-campus placements and there are alumni in tier 1 law firms like AZB partners, Trilegal, Khaitan and co etc the image of the college is prestigious in the eyes of judges and advocates so you get an easy internship, even if you don’t go for placements you can do litigation at the same place, can do LLM and PhD and be a professor, can go for the judiciary.

Internships Opportunities:

I have done internships under district courts and under the honourable Delhi High Court, as I said the name of this college is a plus point you get an internship under a district court and even under the high court, I learnt about basic litigation practices and procedural law of justice, basically the internships you will be getting in 1st or 2nd year will be unpaid but highly informative and skillfull for you, you will get paid internships from 3rd year once you hone those skills, during initial years of internship you will get to do some manual works of managing the files, delivering it to different advocates, writing applications for a copy of evidence etc

What I Liked

Campus life, Hostels, Sports infrastructure, Accessibility to the main city.
Interaction with the students from other courses who do not have a law background

What I didn’t like

almost null placements and internship opportunities
Lots of dogs in the campus, varied entry timings for girls and boys.

Placement Experience:

Placement and Job opportunities are very scarce. Students mostly opt for off-campus placements. Despite a weak placement cell, the alumni are all well settled and are doing great in the profession which according to me is a fruit of the prime location of Delhi and the networking opportunities that a person receives here. I plan to join a Corporate Firm after completing my degree.

Internships Opportunities:

1. Juris Corp - IBC, PMLA, DRT - was offered a stipend of Rs. 5, 000/- 2. Judicial internship in HC 3. AOR 4. Boutique Law firms etc. 5. State Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission 6. District Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission

What I Liked

The infrastructure is undoubtedly top notch, the campus life adds up to the pleasure as it is always a delight to take a walk in the lush green campus.
Additionally, the hostel life is very happening and it teaches you a lot about life and money management in general. So yeah, it's absolutely an invaluable experience for me to be a Hostalite.

What I didn’t like

The in-campus placement opportunities are pretty disappointing which makes you work really hard and be on your toes during the entire duration of your course so as to land up at a decent place. Moreover, the legal sector is already a saturated market where you would find individuals having almost similar skills and experiences. So, to stand out of the crowd you need to be persistent and determined throughout your course.
The library timings are until 7 PM for the Law Library and 9 PM for the Central Library. That is something which could have been extended especially during examinations.

Placement Experience:

The law students have to do multiple internships so as to land at the best workplaces in the country. Having a good alumni base surely helps in getting a lot of internships and even PPOs. The campus recruitment is however, not very fulfilling as only a few students get an opportunity to get hired. Previous recruiters are Bharucha & Partners, RedHat, Singhania and Partners, etc. Highest average package is around 8-9 LPA. Percentage of students getting placed through in-campus placement drive is not that significant as compared to the number of PPOs and other means of getting a job after internships and competitive exams. My plan is to appear for the regulatory body exams such as SEBI Grade-A Legal Officer, RBI Grade-B Legal Officer, CCI Legal Officer, etc. And I am currently working as a legal intern under the Disputes Team of Hammurabi & Solomon which is a Tier-2 Law Firm in Delhi.

Internships Opportunities:

I did several internships since my first semester in the college. Starting with NGOs, I've had several experiences of working under the domain of Technology Law, IPR (Copyrights), Alternate Dispute Resolution, Commercial Litigation, etc. The organisations I've worked with include Project Bodhan, Scriboard Advocates and Legal Consultants, Augralids Law Offices, Research Assistantship at the University of Szeged -Hungary.
