Eligibility Criteria For PhD Admission

The detailed eligibility criteria for PhD at MMMUT are mentioned below:-

  • Engineering/Technology: Master's degree with 60% or equivalent CGPA in relevant discipline.
  • Sciences/Humanities/Social Sciences/Management/Pharmaceutical Science & Technology: Master's degree with 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
  • Direct PhD Program (Full Time): Bachelor's Engineering degree with 75% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade, or MCA degree with equivalent eligibility.
  • Relaxation: 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently Abled/EWS candidates as per UGC notification.

Selection Procedure For PhD Admission

The Admission will be based on the following criteria:-

  • Admission to PhD program will be made through a written test (100 marks, 3 hours) and interview, with 70% weightage for the written test and 30% for the interview.
  • The written test will consist of 50% questions on Research Methodology and 50% subject-specific questions, with no negative marking.
  • Candidates securing 50% or above of the average marks of the top 5 candidates will be eligible for the interview.
  • Final selection will be based on cumulative merit (both test and interview), and availability of faculty members in the particular department.
