Embracing the rich tapestry of cultures, the KIIT Student Activity Centre (KSAC) orchestrated the celebration of Chhath Puja on November 19, 2023. This festival, of great importance in Bihar, involves the worship of the Sun God and the observance of a fasting ritual. The festivities encompass various rituals such as Kharna, Sandhya Argh, and Pratah Argh poojas, each conducted on different days.

The celebration welcomed Shri Manan Kumar Mishra, Senior Advocate and Chairman of the Bar Council of India, as the Chief Guest, who offered words of encouragement to the students. Expressing gratitude, he acknowledged Dr Achyuta Samanta, the Founder of KIIT & KISS, for offering a range of opportunities to the students of KIIT-DU. Additionally, he extended his best wishes to the students for a prosperous future. During his welcome address, Dr. Samanta expressed appreciation for the students' disciplined participation in the Chhath Puja festivities.

Amidst a lovely combination of wind and sunshine, the Sandhya Argh pooja unfolded magnificently at Campus 6. The grand event featured an enchanting setup, enhanced by vibrant flowers and colour rangolis that contributed to the festive atmosphere. Musicians serenaded the gathering with songs dedicated to the occasion, adding to the overall brightness and joy of the celebration.

KIIT successfully captured the spirit of the festival, crafting a unique, homey experience that was truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for all. The celebration commendably reflected people's deep faith, showcasing the dedicated and heartfelt manner in which they annually celebrate and worship the Sun God for the well-being and prosperity of their families during this beautiful festival.
