In terms of the Sustainable Development Goal of 'Reduced Inequalities', the University has been ranked 1st in India by the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024. KIIT got an overall score of 79.3 - 83.9 and is ranked in the 201-300 cohort globally. The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings celebrate universities that excel across multiple United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This unique ranking exercise evaluates the performance of universities across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals. KIIT University is ranked 6th in the world in terms of 'Reduced Inequalities' and 1st in India.

However, KIIT Deemed to be University has been ranked 11 in India by Times Higher Education Young University Rankings 2024. The 20-year-old KIIT Deemed to be University has achieved remarkable rankings and has outshone several IITs which are much older and well-established institutions.
